Obi wan sat facing out across the endless sands: his grey hair drifting as a light breeze swept through the renovated farm buildings, his long dark robe fluttering behind him as his sipped from the cup of coffee held between his hands. Obi wan had spent near to twenty years in this same out the way spot now without contact with his oldest and dearest friend. His brother. Occasionally he'd hear rumours of the legendary Anakin Skywalker, but Obi wan was wise enough to know they were simple smugglers tales. His dear beloved brother had long since vanished, disappearing from galactic reach after the unfortunate incident...

Obi wan sighed: he missed both the man and his bright eyed wife, they were practically family. Closing his eyes a smile lifted the old mans lips as he recalled the days the pair would flirt and bicker during mission. They way they used to smile in adoration of their firstborn girl, back before things went wrong, before they became chaotic...

Obi wan missed those carefree days.

"Uncle Obi!" A girls voice called across from out in the sands. A tall young woman: with bronzed skin, warm green eyes and curled locks of brunette hair held up in a messy bun. She waved both her arms to get the mans attention, the sleeves of her beige robes slipping back and forth along her forearms as she did so. Obi wan looked over and cracked a smile. "Luke hid the keys to his speeder and I wanna go to the Cantina: can you tell me where they are? Pretty please?" The girl asked as she ran over, batting her eyes in the direction of the old Jedi. Obi wan chuckled and pushed himself up from his seat, placing his cup of coffee to one side and he walk over, placing a hand on the girls head and ruffling her hair as he walked by.

"Kira you're twenty one: I think it's time you earned the money for your own speeder," He replied while walking over towards the steps that led down into what had become his dwelling. Well: not just his. The dark was home to a total of five individuals that made up his little family. Pouting the young woman turned and ran along after him. "Besides, you know how I feel about those places, you're an attractive young lady, I don't particularly like the thought of you hanging around all those uncivilised folk." He added as they defended down into the set-ups kitchen area. The girl groaned behind him and slumped herself down on one of the tables stools.

"Come on Obiii: like you said, I'm twenty one now, it's time I started living my life, besides...I was kinda hoping I could track down uncle Kinny and (n/n) again." She pleaded with hopeful eyes as she lay her head on the table and looked up and across to meet his gaze with a sheepish smile. Obi wan gave a heavy sigh and a small sad frown before pulling out a seat and sitting opposite the girl. Looking at her he still saw the little five year old that was hastily dropped at his door that awful night before his old friend disappeared seemingly forever. He glanced down to his hands and bit at his lip slightly.

"...Kira...I'm sorry but so long as the empire still exists there will be no finding Anakin or (y/n): it would be best to forget about them, just mentioning those names could get you in a lot of trouble." Obi wan spoke sadly while lifting his bluish green eyes from his hands to meet that of the girls. Though Kira wasn't his own daughter Obi wan loved her as though she were: she was bright, loving, respectful, but most of all adventurous. Obi wan just prayed that carefree spirit of hers never landed her in the trouble he'd sworn a pact to avoid.

That terrible night twenty years ago: four children had been split between four couples, never to meet each other until the threat had passed from them. Ari went to Padmè, Leia went to the Organa's, Luke came with him, and Kira was supposed to stay with Anakin and (y/n). They were supposed to be safe apart, to be hidden from the Empire's inquisitors. However now they were all entering their adult years protecting the four had become far more difficult, they all wanted lives of their own after all. Kira was no different, in fact as the eldest she craved to fly away the most out of all four of them.
