In the back of the self proclaimed 'fastest ship in the galaxy', obi wan sat with his eyes closed. He was dwelling on the days past but more so, the days to come. He was sure now more than ever that sending Kira away was for the best, there was a darkness about that he didn't much like, no he didn't like it one bit. The force had been out of balance for years now, ever since the rise of the empire. Obi wan was used to that, but now something else was stirring...Sat in the quiet where he was Obi wans thoughts turned to his family. He thought about his son, his daughter, his wife. He hoped, no, he knew they were safe with Ahsoka. No one had managed to track down the location of the new order. He doubted he could without coordinates. They'd been safe for years now and yet Ahsoka and the rest were still so careful. Neither Cal nor Ahsoka really led the base anymore, and never together. Obi wan suspected for a long while there was something Ahsoka wasn't telling him, however he didn't see it as his business to ask. Everyone had their secrets during these dark days.
As his mind wandered he thought about Luke, how alike to his father he was becoming. The boy may not have been as headstrong as Obi wan had heard his sister had become, but Obi wan doubted he could keep him grounded much longer. Of course he stood more of a chance than with Kira, she was constantly running this way and that across the planet. Obi wan had hopes some time with Ahsoka would teach the young woman how dangerous the galaxy could be. He wanted her to learn to keep low without being put in danger.
However, little did Obi wan know Kira never made it to Ach-To. She was safe yes, Cal made sure of that, but certainly not at the new order as Obi wan had planned. She was with a friend of the order, a smuggler with just as much need to hide as them. And, a very close friend of Ari and her step brother.
"Uncle Ben? Uncle Ben are you alright?" Luke asked as he ventured back. Out of the blue Obi wan had felt something tug on his heart strings. It was a terrible pain that only lasted a second but now the echoes remained. The man held his head, rubbing his temples as he opened his eyes.
"...I sense a terrible disturbance in the force, it's as though, as though millions of voices suddenly cried out, only to be silenced..." He replied with furrowed brows. Obi wan had only felt a pain like this once before, during the night of order 66. He prayed to whatever gods he could still believe in that the new order remained untouched and unfound.
"What, what do you mean?" Luke asked worriedly as he helped Obi wan up. Obi wan shook his head. He didn't know what this meant, he didn't know and he feared to find out. Standing up he brushed off Luke's hand and took a breath.
"I don't know luke, not yet at least..." Obi wan replied lowering his gaze. As soon as he could, he wanted to reach out to Ahsoka. He needed a safe way of doing so, to find out everyone there was still safe. For now he'd have to wait, just until they reached Alderaan.
"Well let's - woah what was that?!" Luje suddenly exclaimed as the ship shook around them. The young man scrambled for a hold of near handle while obi wan wobbled on his feet behind. Obi wan was well versed in balance from his Jedi days so he didn't stumble. Both then rushed over to the cockpit to see what was the matter. Inside they found the ships pilot Han Solo and his first mate Wookie scrambling over the controls.
"Hold on, we've come out of hyperspace into some kind of asteroid field." Han Solo spoke up on noticing the two travellers appear at the door. Luke furrowed his brows while Obi wan looked deeply trouble by this somehow.
"How's that possible? Where's Alderaan??" Luke questioned leaning a bit forward. Han pushed him back while reaching for some switches of the ship and didn't even look back.
"That's what I'm telling you kid it's not there." The smuggler replied as he attempted to steady his ship and avoid getting his any further by the passing rocks. Now Luke was even more confused.
