Chapter 4: Don't throw away your friendship

Y/n's POV

"Y/n come down stairs please. We need to talk." I heard my mom yell out. I sighed and walked down stairs only to find out. Alycia was here. I rolled my eyes and sat across from them.

"Yes mom, what's this a caution? I don't want to see Alycia, can she leave?" I say not wanting to even look at Alycia. "Y/n please, don't let that newbie ruin what you and Alycia have. You grew together, and I know the little glances you give each other." My eyes shot up at her.

"Well, It's not like Alycia likes me. She definitely had her tongue up jaylen's throat." I say glaring at Alycia. "Y/n, just go up stairs with Alycia. Talk it out, you two can't leave things like this. And never talk ever again. Okay." I rolled my eyes, and nodded. Motioning for Alycia to follow me.

"Y/n, Im sorry i kissed jaylen. I'm not into her." I sighed, while I sat on my bed. "Ok I believe you." I tell her. She sat down next to me and hugged me. "You know, being with someone who understands me is great." She says smiling at me. I looked into her eyes. Then looked away. I was still hurt about her kissing jaylen.

"Would you let me stay?" I shot my head up to her direction. "We got school tomorrow though." She sighed. She looked upset. "Your right, I'm sorry." She was getting up from the bed. I grabbed her hand, causing her to stop in her tracks avert my direction raising an eyebrow. "Please stay." I say out of nowhere, evening surprising my own self.

I got a smile from her. "Ok, sure." She says. Sitting back down, and hugged me. I hugged her back smiling.

"Hey, let's watch a movie. Like old times when we came to land yeah?" Alycia says excited pulling away. She looked into my eyes with puppy dog eyes. "Like old times." I smirked. Teasing her. "Ohhh?" She knew exactly what I referred too.

Flash back

"Alycia, we have to watch this." She smiled at me. "How do you insert this damn stuff." I looked into her green eyes. "I don't know, why don't we figure it out." She laughs. "Your ten your old self reminds me how smart you really are." I pushed her to the ground. "Yeah, what's that suppose to mean." I tease. "I - I mean you obviously suck at mermaid school, but good in the human world, you just should stay here weirdo."

"Ok, mom I'll stay here, that means I don't have to be babysat by the miss goody to shoes from our pod." She laughed at me. "Oh so now I'm your babysitter?" I rolled my eyes.

"What?, you just stopped finish your sentence." Still no words from Alycia.

"Alycia!, hello you there." I say shaking her.
I don't know what was happening. She soon leaned in closer to me. I was a bit shaken by it. "Alycia what are you doing. Th—." She cute me off by putting her finger to my mouth. "Shhh. Just close your eyes." She says

I soon close my eyes as she says. I then felt lips against mine. I really didn't know what this meant. I was young, didn't have the hormones Alycia did. I just copied what she was doing. Only after a few seconds after she pulled away very quick. Which I thought lasted minutes. It was amazing.

"Bloody hell, I'm soo sorry y/n." She says shocked. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to kiss you. I don't know what's got into me." My eyes went wide. "A kiss? That was a kiss?" I say confused. She nodded her head. Backing up from me. "We should take a break from seeing each other until I control myself. Your young and not aware of these type of situations." She says getting up.

I pushed her back down. "I may be ten Alycia, I may not have known what a kiss was. But I can say kissing you felt amazing." Her eyes shot up. "Y/n Im 13 years old, your mom, and my mom would not like this at all. In fact you should find someone your age." My heart was a bit shattered.
