Chapter 7 : trouble in mako island part 2

Y/n POV

I was thrown in this weird place, a chamber. It was dark, and I stumbled over a small tunnel falling inside.

I screamed really loud it echoed through mako island. I was now in a small cave, the actual chamber of doom. "Hello welcome." i flinched to a voice. "hello, who's there?" I say. At this point I felt so frighten. "you are in the chamber of doom, if you fail my test everyone you love will forget who you are Y/n." i was mesmerised by this.

I didn't want to do this. I don't want to lose Alycia, I don't want to lose my pod. My friends, my parents, my life.

"Are you ready Y/n? good luck on this test." is all this voice says. like if she was worried, she didn't even say her name, but knows mine.

soon the chamber shifted, I was put somewhere so familiar. I see my friends, my parents, but one person is missing. I thought to myself who could it be. I had to focus real good, and find who was missing. "Alycia?, where is she?" i say. Emi looked at me and laughed. "Are you still obessed with her." I raised an eyebrow very astonished. "obessed with Alyica, Emi what are you meaning?" Then I see her, Alycia. she was walking with some girl. That girl has to be jaylen. "Please Y/n, you need to forget about me." then I am brought back to the chamber. The voice comes back.

"Y/n your test is over, you either forget about Alycia forever. And nobody forgets you. or lose everyone you love by wiping their memories that you ever existed. its your choice." my anxiety kicked in, but I managed to speak. "If I choose to forget Alycia, will I lose every memory we had?" I tell this mystery person. "Yes, so choose wisely, forget Alycia or be forgotten by everyone you love." I took a deep breath, and mumbled. "I don't want to lose Alycia I love her."

"Error Alert. Error Alert. activating back to mako." Loud sirens were ringing, bright red lights. A loud thud sound shaking the entire town of Gold Coast Queensland Australia.

I was released, and I hugged Alycia she was the first person I saw. The weird part was everyone was camping at mako. "Umm, Who are you? Please stop hugging me." I was shocked.

"Hey you, get away from my girlfriend. She doesn't know you." Jaylen screams pushing me away. "Emi? What's going on?" I say hopefully she remembers me. "Excuse me, but how do you know my name? And who are you exactly?" Emi says startled.

I was shocked they're memories were wiped. I was alone. It hurt to see everyone I love forget me.

Narrator's POV

As every single person y/n loves had forgotten who she was. Has made things so difficult for her. She walked on land.

On the other hand, everyone else was worried about y/n. The chamber has clasped with y/n. The girls and the rest of her friends tried to help her out. Soon after they found her.

She was unconscious, they brought her to Alycia's house, and had to call out for more mermaids to help. Y/n's pod was worried, that she wouldn't make it alive. Causing Alycia to cry hard, she has gone mad. Yet Alycia never let anyone help her much. She cared about y/n so much.

Yet nothing could be done to save y/n it'd have to be a miracle.

Alycia POV

"We have to do something, she can't die." I yelled crying. I don't want her to die. "She's not dead, she's in a coma. It's a spell, we can't do anything Alycia. What ever she is facing, it's definitely the chamber puzzle." Ondina head of the mermaid counsel says. I looked up at her. "She will make it right?" She shook her head. "I don't know, We don't know. We hope so." Is all she says.

I never left y/n side, I ignored my girlfriend, my friends, and parents. I wanted to be here when she wakes up.

"She's not going to wake up Alycia. We have our anniversary today. One year, that you hardly spent time with me anyway." Jaylen says. "I can't just give up on her." I tell her. "She's useless, I am part of your pod now, I'll help complete it. You have to just forget about your ex. Let her go to peace." Jaylen says. Making me feel a lot worse. She doesn't understand our connection, memories, and feelings for each other.

Like, yes I like Jaylen a lot, but I don't know if I love her, like I once loved y/n. I can't let her go. I will not let her go. Instead I said something that shocked everyone, probably hurt Jaylen deeply.

"No, I won't give up on her. She is strong, most powerful mermaid I know. She will survive this, I can feel her energy. I just can't let her go, Bec— because I LOVE HER!!" I said out loud bursting in tears. The look in Jaylen eyes, I knew she was hurt.

"Alycia, come rest at my place, we will keep you company, her parents will take care of her ok." Emi says. As she grabbed me and hugged me.

We headed to Emi's house, lizzie, David, Emi of course, this new mermaid named Dana, ondina's daughter. She was really pretty, ocean blue eyes, and Burnett hair just like her dad.

All we did was watch movies, and laugh like old times, but it never felt right, y/n was always missing we all felt that emptiness inside.

Soon we all fell asleep.

Y/n POV

I hated hiding who I was, land was becoming a struggle since I needed to go to sea. I tried not to get caught. I am so alone, no friends, no pod. Jaylen was apart of it. They treated me differently, because they think I'm not one of them. Little do they know.

Then I got a huge message, on a piece of paper that flew out of nowhere by the wind to my feet.
The note:

Hurts to be alone, where nobody knows you. I know that feeling. I will get you out of here. Just keep in mind. You are being tested. Become their friends earn their trust. Get them to remember you. They didn't completely forget you. In the real world they want you back. Don't let your subconscious win. Start with someone you love, someone who can't help but do anything for you. Lastly, your a champion, you are powerful more than any mermaid in legends and history. You got this y/n
