Chapter 10: Double-Date (Part 2)

Chapter 10: Double-Date (Part 2)

*Year 2273*

Amata's P.O.V

I was walking towards the Mack's quarters right now, or to be more specific Susie's, and got really excited about this whole double-date thing John and I we're planning... not that she knew about it anyway.

After John asked me what we should do, I told him as soon as the two go their seperate ways, we'll meet with them on our own so nothing seems out of the ordinary and convience them to come with us. He, obviously, agreed to my plan like always and left the cafeteria after telling me that he'll catch up with Freddie later.

Oh... and that he loved me, of course.

I was lost in thought for a moment as I turned around the corner that led to the Mack's, thinking about my lover. Gosh... I know it's been just about a year since we got together but it felt like an eternity to us as time flew by.

And, as much as I don't want to sugar coat this, he's so sweet!

He always acts like this very confident, caring and strong-willed person when he's around people but when it's just the two of us, he gets nervous over everything. Even over the small things we do together like studying in the library or eating at the cafeteria or heck, seeing each other as well, he's either blushing his face off or awkwardly scratching the back of his head all the time but in a good and comforting way.

But we are by far from the best couple in the name of the vault. We're always teasing each other about which of our friends are better for us, arguing over the smallest of things like who gets the best seat in the class or who gets to have the last goodbye kiss when we have to go or anything else that you can think of.

But speaking of which...

~Flashback~

"OK, I'll make sure to bring Freddie along when it's time for the..." John trailed off as I rolled my eyes at him "What?"

"Who else we're you planning on bringing, your dad?!?" I teased as he now rolled his eyes at me and before I added "Need daddy's permission for everything now, do you?"

"Look who's talking, vault princess" he teased this time as a gave him a light smirk.

"You might be my boyfriend but that won't stop me from throwing you down the nearest Radroach infested hole so don't push your luck, geek" I threatened playfully, wrapping my arms around his neck with my smirk growing by the minute while he laughed nervously.

"Yes ma'am" he joked before pulling me closer to him, our chests just touching one another. 

"Good" I said before adding "and don't come unless you have Freddie with you, got it?" in a very bossy manner.

"Yes, yes I know..." he sighed annoyingly causing me to chuckle slightly under my breath.

"Ok, see you soon?" I asked but I already knew that, I just don't want him to go yet. 

"Yeah" he replied, nodding his head before adding "But... may I have a parting gift before I go?" with a nervous smile on his face.

I giggled at the sight of my goffy lover before saying "Sure, but you only get one so make it worth it" and brought our lips together. I felt his lips form a smirk before he started kissing me back, pulling me into him until our chests were pressed together now and our heads tilting to the side, adding more passion to the kiss.
