|Some Time Later...|
Drina stood opposite her brother Conor in the throne room, and she was scoffing at Thor's antics with the great hammer Mjolnir.
"Oh, please. Does he really have to show it off that much?" Sif mumbled to Drina, who shrugged at her, as her helmet grew slightly taller, as she was looking over at Loki, who glared a bit at her helmet.
Thor knelt on the steps of the royal daiz where Odin stood, taking off his helmet, that looked like a bird's head with wings coming out of it. He places down the hammer on the floor and he winked at Frigga, who shook her head very slightly at him, as she was smilin' slightly.
"Are you not the one, who is supposed to just know all about the Princes of Asgard?" Sif mumbles and Drina scoffs very quietly, as a ripple of blue light turned her helm back to the normal height and Loki smiled a bit at her. "Especially that one?"
"Shut up, Sif." Drina muttered under her breath, as Odin hit the ground in front of him with Gungnir and all the cheering stops at once. It was as if, all of the oxygen, all of the energy had all been sucked out of the room instantly.
"Thor Odinson, my heir," Drina looks over at Loki with a sympathetic gaze, as his head bowed very slightly, as she nudged his hand gently with hers. "my firstborn. So long, he has been entrusted with the mighty hammer Mjolnir, forged in the heart of a dying star, its power has no equal, as a weapon to destroy or as a tool to build. 'Tis a fit companion for a king." Loki's hand was stuck in Drina's now, as she felt a pain radiating off of him, that she had felt too many times before, herself in her own family. "I have defended Asgard and the lives of the innocent across the Nine Realms from the time of the great beginning. Though the day has come..."
Drina looked up quickly, her eyes connecting with Conor's on the far side of the daiz.
"What is it?" Loki murmured as Drina's hand was pulled from his swiftly, and clenched into a fist at her side.
"I don't know for certain. But I don't like it, whatever it is." She murmured back, and looked around over her left shoulder, unsure of what was making her so nervous at the moment.
"Do you swear to guard the Nine Realms?"
"I swear." Thor swore from his kneeling position on the ground in front of them, and Conor shakes his head at Drina, who was itching to go and find out what was going on, and why she was feeling uneasy about any sort of thing around them in Asgard.
"And do you swear to preserve the peace?"
"I swear." Thor's voice grew louder and more arrogant, each time and all of them, every time that he swore a oath to Odin.
"Do you swear to cast aside all selfish ambition and to only pledge yourself, only to the good of the Nine Realms?" Odin asked his final question and the room was breathless as they wait for his answer, as Drina's pulse quickened with the feeling of dread, danger and uneasiness around her, that seemed to have been sensed by Conor as well, since they were two Gods of Combat, which seemed to be a part of what was wrong.
"I swear!" Thor roared, holding the mighty hammer Mjolnir up into the air over his head, and Drina looked at Loki, who it would seem, had just about finally started to realize that she was not wrong, and that there was a feeling in the air of Asgard, all around them.
"Then, on this day, I, Odin Allfather, proclaim you..." Drina looked up and her eyes widened at the sudden surge of intuition. "The Frost Giants!"
Drina and Conor drew weapons and raced off at once, as they tore through the streets of Asgard, shoutin' all sorts of apologizes to everyone that they all ran into, as they did so.
They arrived only just in time, to see the Destroyer robot, stepping forward out of the space behind the great wall, that kept it hidden.
It made quick work of the trio of the Frost Giants, the Jotuns of Jotunheim and the robot backs swiftly away out of their sightlines, as Drina scoops up the Casket and placed it back onto the holder in its place in front of the robot Destroyer's wall.
Drina looked up, as Odin, Thor and Loki walked into the Weapons Vault and she stepped back, to crouch down next to the fallen einherjar and though her eyes were harsh and unyielding in their expression, it was only to hide the agony and pain that lay behind them.
"One of us should have been here to stop this." Drina's voice wasn't overly loud, but in the quiet hall of Asgard's weapons vault, it echoed plenty loud.
"I beg your pardon?" Odin asked sharply of her, as Drina stood up and Loki looked at her quickly.
"Father, perhaps--" He began.
"Thank you, but I can speak for myself Loki." Drina had not just interrupted one of the royal family, but now two of them in the past half of a minute. "One of us should have been here, to help them. I should have been here with them, no warriors of Asgard should die, while their young commanders rest in luxury and watch a coronation of a young boy." Drina's voice was overly harsh on the word 'boy' and she knew that she would be paying for it later, but she did not care a whit at the moment. "Forgive me, Allfather. But this is what happens, if two gods of war are in the same room, far away from their fellow soldiers of the army." She stated and Odin looked at her, then at Conor, who seems to be petrified and frozen solid, at the clear daring of his little sister.
"I understand your pain, young one. You are right, but thankfully the Destroyer did its job well. But these soldiers were unfortunately a bit of collateral damage at the time of their deaths." Odin stated and she turned away walking swiftly away, as her armor disappeared and was just a simple blue and black jacket with pants, and a balanced scales tattoo on it.
