"There was someone else, who was by Odin in all ways declared worthy of the throne before Thor was to be declared Odin's heir to the throne. I understand this might be rather, all too difficult for you to hear." Now, it was Frigga's voice that was soft, while Drina stood loyally outside the door of Odin's chambers, on Loki's orders and she was unable to hear the words that were being spoken, which she was all too fine with at the moment.
"Who was this person? Who was this other heir, who was said to be more of a worthy heir to the throne than either of us, Sons of Odin?!" Loki demanded.
The doors were flung wide open and Loki stormed out of the room, and he looked furious, and appears to be in a raging, anger-driven mood. "Loki?" A confused look came over her, and he slammed the doors shut behind him.
"Were you ever going to tell anyone about the choice Odin gave you?" He asked and she raised her eyebrows at him. "Oh, don't you ever start playing dumb with me now. You know exactly what I am talking about. Odin asked if you would rule!" He snapped, and she sighed quietly at his words.
"I didn't want to say anything to you or anyone, because somebody here or somewhere else, someone would have something to say negatively about it. I didn't plan to say anythin' at all. I said no to his offer, and that was that." She said simply and he shakes his head at her.
"You act like it was nothing more to you than a book being borrowed out of a library. You were offered a prize, a throne, it was the throne of Asgard, and you act like it was nothing more than a book! You could have been the Queen!" He shouted and she looked at him, shaking her head slightly.
"No, Loki. Your mother would still be Queen, after your father arose from a Odin-sleep. Just as she always is. I did not take the throne, because it would hurt my friendships with Thor and you, warping them beyond all of the recognition or recollections, until the friendships had never existed at all. I saw and see still, all of that jealousy and rage at the thought of Thor gettin' the throne before you. I didn't want a thing like that, to get in the way of the fact that I was your only friend other than Thor and arguably, the Warriors Three and Sif. I couldn't take that from either of you, not without those same consequences being devastating for all of us. But if you wish to dismiss me from the position I currently hold, and to replace me with someone that you deem as more trustworthy, then I will gladly step down." She said as she twirled her hand, as a blue light along with an illusion rippled over her.
She stood there in a simple blue suit of armor, with black and blue stripes all over it, and gold, to mimic the hilt of her father's sword, which never had a name but it was still her calling, to give it one.
"Would you have ever said yes to the offer of the throne? If you had chosen to not become our Protector, to not be a Warrior deserving of all the glory of battle, but got no recognition... would you still have declined the offer of the throne of Asgard?" Loki asks as Drina was turning to walk away from him.
"That would depend on whether you two would have survived, all of your, stupid things, that you have survived to tell the tales of over the years." She said, and there was a brief smile now on her face. "I would not have been in the running for friends, as such, I had no chance of stopping you. Conor, he would have just gone along with it. In that sense, things remain very much just the same." She said and he walks over and she stopped, looking over at him as he stopped beside her. "Yes?"
"I'm sorry. Never meant to snap at you, I just let all of my anger of being lied to by Father and Mother, right out onto you. You did not deserve any of it and I wish I had more control of my emotions." He said and she laughed at his words.
"And yet, you cannot hope to be seen by anyone except for the Queen, your Father and me, with any emotions on your face, whatsoever." She said as he shrugged his shoulders a bit, and he'd hug her briefly.
"I'm still sorry." He mumbled in her ear and she laughed quietly, and she smacked his shoulder playfully. "Hey, you can't hit the king." He complained and she pretended to look fearful.
"Oh no! I hit my King, will my head start to disintegrate?" She asks rather sarcastically, and he couldn't help but laugh at her words.
"You will never be removed from your position, daughter of Týr. You have earned your position by the side of the King." He said and she bows her head in deep respect, and, she walked away from Odin's chambers.
