Hawkwing watched Gingerfoot, Blazecloud, and Swiftbreeze padded through the camp entrance, pelts dripping from the swim over. Hawkwing couldn't see any injuries on the three warriors and Blazecloud held catmint in his jaws. Brightstar, who had been pacing camp anxiously awaiting their arrival, hurried over.
"Is everyone okay?" The grey tabby asked immediately, sapphire eyes filled with concern.
"We're all fine." Gingerfoot mewed.
"Thanks to some rogue." Swiftbreeze put in sounding awestruck. Blazecloud didn't say anything as he stumbled toward the medicine cat den with the precious herbs.
"Finally!" Brambleberry growled to the returning patrol. "Now I can get some sleep." Brambleberry padded away from the camp entrance and towards the warriors den. "We can take care of the rogue in the morning." Brambleberry threw over his shoulder.
The rest of the patrol that was preparing to go track down the other half of Icewing's patrol broke apart. It was past moonhigh and everyone was tired. Hawkwing padded straight for Brambleberry, annoyance and anger covering her emerald gaze.
"Brambleberry, get over here right now!" Hawkwing hissed to the dark tabby.
Brambleberry's amber eyes lit up at the sound of the Waterclan deputy's meow. "Yes Hawkwing?" He mewed kindly.
Hawkwing rolled her eyes. "You need to show more respect for your clan mates." She growled. "They could have been killed by that dog and your worried about your sleep?" Brambleberry opened his mouth to respond but Hawkwing ignored him. "And that rogue, he saved Icewing's life! According to Swiftbreeze a rogue also saved Blazecloud's. No rogue that I know of would do that for a clan cat, let alone two! I think that it was the same rogue that save both Icewing and Blazecloud. I don't know what you were thinking when you said you wanted to take care of it but if you meant what I think you meant then I advise you think otherwise."
"Sorry." Brambleberry muttered before turning back to the warriors den and padding slowly back to his nest.
He really needs to work on his attitude. Hawkwing thought annoyedly as she padded over to the medicine cat den. Once inside, Hawkwing saw Icewing laying with his daughter watching Brightstar and Birdsong having a conversation with a drowsy Pebblefang. Hawkwing hurried over at the sight of the white and brown spotted warrior.
"You need to eat them." Birdsong was saying as Hawkwing arrived. "You won't get better if you don't." Birdsong pushed some herbs towards the tired warrior.
"But I'm a warrior." He mewed staring at nothing. "I can't show weakness to anyone. I can't accept medicine from the enemy."
"But we aren't your enemy." Brightstar mewed. "I'm your mother, this is your home. Don't you remember?"
Pebblefang paused for several heartbeats before reluctantly taking the herbs and started chewing. Hawkwing watched Brightstar and Birdsong shared a relieved glance.

Brightstar stood on highbranch, sapphire eyes gleaming. A moon had passed since Blazecloud and Icewing had been saved by the rogue and the border patrols have still been scenting fresh scents from it at the border. Lillyfoot stood with her three kits grooming them proudly. Dawnfur watched her kits frolic around their den mates.
"When do we get to be made apprentices?" Amberkit complained to her mother.
The large queen looked down at the little kit. "Two more moons." She mewed looking at her oldest daughter, Brightstar, standing proudly on highbranch.
"But aren't we as good as Blazekit, Minnowkit, and Leafkit?" Emberkit asked.
"Of course you are." Dawnfur replied. "Your just younger than them."
