Birdsong was just finishing up putting cobwebs on Swiftbreeze's wound when Brightstar padded up. "Birdsong, how is everyone?" The grey tabby she-cat asked, sapphire eyes filled with worry.

"Mousepaw and Hawkwing are the worst, I sent them to their dens to rest as soon as I treated them. After Swiftbreeze I only need to treat you, Riverheart, and Rainwind." Birdsong replied glancing around camp as she spoke. "Where are they?" She questioned.

Brightstar jumped at the question and wearily scanned camp. "I don't know, I'll check the dens and try to send a search party out if they aren't in camp."

"You better hurry, this wouldn't be the first time Sandclan would have stole someone from our clan." Birdsong warned before turning back to Swiftbreeze. Birdsong applied some marigold to the wound to prevent infection. "You should go to your nest and rest too." Birdsong advised as she examined him for any other wounds.

"But I want to help search for Riverheart and Rainwind." The grey tom protested.

As if saying their names summoned them, Riverheart and Rainwind walked through the camp entrance, pelts soaked. "There, we found them now go get some rest." Birdsong shot at the tom before hurrying over to the two wet warriors. "Where have you been? Look at your shoulder!" Birdsong gestured towards Riverheart's bleeding wound. "What was so important that you two had to take care of over healing yourselves?" Before either of them could reply, Birdsong nudged them toward her den. "You two wait here and stay put, I need to tell Brightstar that she doesn't need to send out a search patrol."

After hurrying out of her den Birdsong saw Brightstar exiting the warriors den with Brambleberry, Frogleap, and Blazecloud following her. Birdsong quickly padded over. "It's okay Brightstar, they're in my den waiting to be treated."

Brambleberry let out a loud sigh. "Young warriors, so irresponsible and annoying. Since they're warriors now they think they can do whatever they want want without getting permission or telling anybody!"

Frogleap swiped a sheathed paw at the large tabby's ears, accidentally hitting his cheek because of the hight difference. "Someday listen to your own words!" The brown tom hissed. Brambleberry growled and crouched low, preparing to spring.

"Stop!" Brightstar's angry voice made the toms jump back to reality. "We just had a battle, we are tired and injured. Your telling me that even though you just fought and are hurt your going to hurt yourself even more over a fish-brained argument instead of concentrating on getting better? If you two are feeling well enough to fight then you must feel well enough to help the clan recover."

Seeing where this conversation was going the toms shook their heads. "Sorry Brightstar." Frogleap mewed sadly. "I should go and rest." Brambleberry didn't say anything but shot one last glare at Frogleap and both the toms padded slowly back to the warriors den. Blazecloud twitched a couple times the followed them without saying a word.

"Right." Brightstar mewed suddenly looking exhausted. "Birdsong, I need to talk to you."

Birdsong eyed the grey tabby and nodded. "Come to my den, it looks like you need cobwebs as well." The two tired. she-cats made their way back to the medicine cat den. Birdsong decided to start with Riverheart's shoulder, seeing that it was the worst wound out of the three injured cats. Birdsong quickly instructed Rainwind and Brightstar to start cleaning their wounds while she treated Riverheart's.

After treating Riverheart and Rainwind, Birdsong sent the two young warriors to their den. "Alright, what's wrong?" Birdsong asked while she started inspecting her leader's wounds.

"I told Pebblefang." Brightstar's sapphire gaze saddened. "He hates me."

"I'm sure he doesn't hate you." Birdsong reasoned.

"He didn't even believe me!" Brightstar wailed.

"What would you do if Bloodstar came up to you right now and told you he was your father?" Birdsong waited patiently for her leader to answer.

"I wouldn't believe him, but that's because I know Ripplewave is my father. Also, Bloodstar doesn't look anything like me." Brightstar pointed out.

"True." Birdsong agreed. "But keep in mind that Sandfang looks more like Pebblefang then you do, also he grew up being told that Sandfang is his mother. Go easy on him, in his eyes all facts point to him being Sandfang's son."

"I hate Sandfang." Brightstar hissed angrily, claws digging into the mossy floor of Birdsong's den. "She will regret doing what she did to me!"
