Six Year Old Play

Christmas and the New Year passed quickly and today I was going back to school. Christmas was not like our other traditions. Usually, because most of our family lives half way across the country, on Christmas day, we would have Annie's parents and brother over for lunch. It would be the only time I cooked because Annie would always convince me. Lunch would always fill us to the brim. Then we would open presents then stick ourselves in front of the television to watch Christmas movie's until midnight. This year our house was empty. I mean, we would have invited over her parents, but they moved away and her brother went to college. I could tell my mum was just as depressed as I was as we stared at where they would have been sitting if only Annie wouldn't have left. One thing good about Christmas was that Sean gave me "The Once Upon a Time Starts Her" the book for my present. It probably was the best gift he could have given me. So I gave him a CD of his favourite band. He left for his grandparents two days before Christmas but came back before New Years, so we I went to a party his friend was throwing with him.

So now, we come back to the present where I make my way up to the school. Sophie is waiting for me.

"Hi, Sophie. How was your New Year?" I asked

"It was great. Christmas with the family was fantastic." We swapped stories when Fi came up.

This is when we see Nikki handing out invitations. She walks over to us, in her stuck up way, her friends trailing behind her.  "Happy New Year, girls." Mickey says.

"Uh..Happy New Year?" Fi says with a puzzling look on her face.

"Well, here's a invite to my party." Nikki passes out two to Sophie and Fi.

"Umm.." Fi questions.

"Don't bring HER." Nikki stares at me.

"Wow, you couldn't think of anything better. Six year olds use the 'Your'e not invited to my party.' Be more creative, please." I scoffed.

"Whatever, you want to come." Then she stomps off, again with her friends running off behind. "What was that about?" Fi asked.

"I dunno. We are NOT going, Roni."

"No, go. I would love to hear what happens, now that Christy isn't talking to us."

"Yeah, I guess I could go with Mark." Fi states. "Aright we'll go." Sophie nods.

The next day, after school, I met up with Sean at the café.

"So, about Nikki's party." Sean says.

"What about it?" I ask.

"Do you want to go with me?"

"Well I already have plans to stick pins in my eyeballs." I said, sarcastically.

"Oh, come on."

"No."

"Please, you don't have to go near those girls. You can hang out with me."

"No." "It's free food." "Well I like my food expensive."

"They always have good cake."

"No."

"We'll stay for, like, and hour. Then we can go to see a movie or something."

I sighed. "Fine."

"Alright, I'll pick you up at six."

Demi was home, because she had a longer winter break, so I went to go see her because we were both busy. I met her in a small park.

"Hey! I haven't seen you in so long!" She shrieked. I ran up and hugged her. We spoke about her time at school, about Sean, about Evan, who was as loyal as a dog to her, and then about the party.

"Your'e going?" Demi asks.

"Sean made me. I mean, he's cute, but pushy." I said, jokingly.

"Ha, you have to tell me all about it!" "How? It's impossible to get in touch." "Yeah, I know. It sucks. I'm trying to talk my parents out of sending me there for my last two years. I pick the worst parts of the school. We chatted for another 2 hours. I missed Demi. I soaked in every moment I could get.

A/N:Merry Christmas and a Happy new year!  Hope this was ok.. I'm excited to write the next chapter!!! But I'm not sure when that will be out cause I'm going on holidays. Also, sorry for not posting. I couldn't think of what to do and I was busy so yeah.. :D This also may not be a long story. It is a test run, I will be writing another, longer story, with a very different plot. Probably no romance in it! But I will talk about that later. I will release that after I'm finished this. OK peace!
