Riley sat in the living with the babies watching as the dogs played outside.
Today was the day of Xerxes swearing-in, and he, his brothers, and some of their cousins, including JJ, Omari, and Jasper, have been gone since before daybreak.
On top of that, she had been calling all of them, and neither of the fools had answered.
"You worried, aren't you?" Raven asked walked in with Mariah, Melody, and the twin girls.
Riley nodded because X never ignores her calls, plus the ceremony was just hours away. Where the hell was they, and what were they doing?

"X, I can't believe you had our asses our here killing fools before the sun came up. Shit, I'm not even a part of your mafia," JJ said, wiping the sweat from his head with a sigh then pulling out his phone.
"Shit," He said.
"What is it?"
"Both our wives been blowing up my shit. I swear if your ass causes any problems between my Karesta and me. I'm letting her beat your ass pregnant or not," JJ said, smirking over to Xerxes, who laugh, pulling out his phone looking at his missed calls from Riley, Raven, and his sisters.
"Bet, same goes for you because I'm telling Riley you talked me into the shit."
"Muthafucker," JJ said, making Corey and the rest laugh.
"You better be fucking glad your swearing-in is in a few hours, and I don't want my little cousin looking fucked up as he is becoming Don. Otherwise, I would beat your ass," He said.
"You could try—"
"What's the use? We both know neither you will give up. It always ends with one of us pulling you hotheaded fuckers apart," Leon said with Elijah and Omari agreeing.
It was true neither one of them like to give up.
"You called me Babygirl?"
"Adriel, sweetheart, where are you? Are you okay?"
"I had to go take care of some business. We are at the warehouse downtown right now, waiting on something. Then we will be home."
"Your ceremony is in three hours, X."
"I know and will be there in time, I promise. Ri, the place is only thirty-something minutes away, and we aren't even fifteen minutes away from home."
"Okay, love you. See you when you get home."
"Love you too, Babygirl," X said, hanging up at the same time JJ did.
Lucas had a goofy-ass smile on his face as Elijah walked around the corner, looking frustrated. He had to been on the phone with Mariah.
