Caught you at midnight
Not in my right mind
What you're afraid of
Is where I just came from
An ugly confession
I think that I'm broken
When I try to be open
I get the feeling that I'm giving up on something I love, too much
The sweetest misery that's taking me, I'm lost in the rush

Klaus woke up gasping breathlessly as he sat up after having a nightmare of his father, he looked beside him to see Selena's place was cold. He sighed and stood up making his way towards her room
He opened the door slowly making sure not to make a sound that would wake her up. He sat down on the couch and she fluttered her eyes open with a gasp
"Go back to sleep, love" he whispered softly
"What the bloody hell are you doing here?" She asked him as she placed her hand in her chest "Who are you now? Edward Cullen?"
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake you up or frightens you... I just arrived" he said and she sighed, she sat up pouring a glass of water for him
"Do you wanna talk about it?" She asked him when he sat down beside as she put a hand on his shoulder as he drank the whole glass "Are you okay?"
"I saw my father" he told her and her eyes widened in surprise "He tried to kill me. It was a nightmare"
"I'm here baby... you're okay" she hugged him tightly kissing his cheek "You're okay. He's not going to harm you, I promise... come on you can sleep tonight here"
They laid down and Selena played with his hair, he looked at her with teary eyes and she could see the vulnerability and fear in his eyes
"Are you scared?" She asked him and he frowned "Of raising the children? Of becoming a father?"
"I don't want to be like... him" he muttered as tears welled in his eyes
"I know what you've been through wasn't easy. Legit no one deserve what Mikeal did to you... but it's been a thousand years, Nik. You have to get over it. For your sake. You are not him and you'll never be"
