What is Hope?
Tis like a thin piece of string,
barely hanging from a needle.

Like a break in the clouds,
Letting a ray of sunlight through.

A gentle reminder,
of the light at the end of the tunnel.

Reaching out,
Urging us to hold on,
To do what we have to do.

To survive,
In the face of danger and uncertainty.

Though the tempest is raving,
And the road is twisting and slippery.

Hope can not be held,
It can not be seen.

Hope finds joy in circumstances,
Where the marks of suffering have been.

Hope helps to find love and understanding,
In the unloved and the misunderstood.

Hope offers light in midst of darkness,
It removes the bad, so we can see the good.

Hope can never be lost,
It simply just gets misplaced.

In all the turmoil, twists and turns,
Hope will be our saving grace.

No matter what may happen in this life,
in this world, so over-run and corrupt by sin,

Hope will always find a way,
And hope will always win.
