"She isn't replying." I turn to the guys.

"Check life three sixty." Caden suggest.

"Smart." I pull up the app and see her location at a forest by her house.

Gray looks over my shoulder. "What's she doing there?"

I put my phone in my pocket. "I don't know, but I know something's wrong." I grab my keys and jog outside my door, leaving the boys in the dust.

"Walker!"

I get into my car and feel my instincts kick in, speeding to the location, but naturally, cops are all over the place at this time since it's spring break and kids wanna be dumb.

I am kids.

Once I pull up, I see her car parked so I get out and run as fast as I can. "MAEVE?!!" I shout. "MAEVE!" I holler from the top of my lungs. As I run, I hear water... water... she loves the sound of running water. "MAE!" I call out, getting closer. "MA—" my heart drops when I see her body laying on the ground... unconscious. "MAEVE!" I fall to my knees, holding her. "HEY!" I wiggle her. My phone continuously slips out of my hands in nervousness, but I manage to dial nine one one.

"Nine one one what's your emerge—"

"I NEED YOU OVER HERE NOW! MY FRIEND.. S-S-SHE'S NOT RESPONDING! PLEASE GET OVER HERE AS FAST AS YOU CAN!"

"Where are you at sir? What do you mean she's not responding?"

"SOME FUCKING FOREST, I DON'T KNOW! TRACK MY DAMN PHONE! SHE'S OVER HERE BY THE CREEK—" I look down, seeing a pill bottle. "I think she tried taking her life..." my voice falls.

"We got a location, sir. Help is heading there now!"

I drop my phone and hold Maeve. "Please, Mae. Please." my eyes swell up. "WAKE UP!"

Tears collect my eyes, making it difficult to see, but I can clearly hear the sirens.
