Diana's POV

I was in a hospital, it looked wrecked and abandoned, every where was dirty and the ceiling was licking. Droplets of water dripping down one at a time, it looked like no one has been here for ages, I wanted to turn around and leave, but something grabbed my hand, I turned to see a monster looking old lady with incomplete dentition, she smiled at me, and said,"You will have nothing!, it'll all be taken away from you!" She gave me an evil like laugh after what she said and I could feel tears rolling down my eyes, I screamed and next thing I knew i opened my eyes in horror and scanned my surrounding and was filled with relief. I was in the comfort of my own room. No old hag can torment me here. Darn that movie from last night, knew I shouldn't have watched it. Talking about last night...
Mom and Dad better have a good explanation waiting for me.

It was Saturday so there was no school which was perfect. I got off from bed, had my shower, got dressed and went straight to their room. It was around 7am at that time. I knocked on their door and didn't wait for response before going inside, I saw them already up and it looked like they were having a very serious conversation. They both turned to me when they noticed me standing beside the door. Good.

"So, here I am, you can start talking " I say without wasting much time.

"Honey, Good morning, how was your night?" Dad asked me

"Yeah sweetie, you okay?" Mom followed him

"There is nothing good about this Morning and please let's just go straight to the point here"

"Ok just come sit down first " mom said and I went to sit on the sofa.

"Well I'm sitted, so..."

"No matter what we tell you honey just know we love you so very much, and nothing can ever change that " Dad said with all seriousness.

"Ok"

"You see years ago before you came into our lives, we were married for almost fifteen years without a single child to show for it, we were mocked by people, family even friends, we were bent on not adopting a child because we were still hopeful, but then it all became too much, the pressure from family, we became desperate " Mom said with tears piling up in her eyes. And suddenly I became sick, wanted to throw up. Oh no I don't want to hear it.

"So we decided to adopt a child, And You came into our lives." she said and I felt like all my life has been a lie, I'm a lie, everything about me is a lie.

"We came across a woman, a young girl that was pregnant, she wanted to terminate her child but then we convinced her not to do so, we promised to take care of her and her baby till she delivers her child then we came to an agreement, she wasn't ready to take care of you so she begged us to adopt you. And from that very moment, we fell in love with you, We had no idea about any twin, I mean we weren't in the country when she gave birth so we don't really know what went down, but I swear to you we will get to the root of this "

I tried to say something but there were no words, I couldn't say anything, I felt betrayed, felt like a complete joke. I mean what are you supposed to say when the people you call your parents suddenly tells you, you're not really their child.

"Honey do you have something you want to say?, anything?" Dad asked me. And I just shrugged.

Honestly I don't know what I'm feeling right.
