Chapter 9 - The Happily Ever After...

-THE MORNING-

Izuku's POV

I had woken up to Kacchan already being awake... it seemed like he was waiting for me to wake up.

I sat up and yawned, rubbing my eyes and stretching my legs.

I hummed and looked at Kacchan, who hadn't looked very angry..

I tilted my head to the side, confused and concerned.

"What..?" I asked tiredly.

Kacchan had said nothing and gotten up, waiting for me to get up too.

I got up and stood beside him. I sighed.

"Why are you acting.... different?" I asked, looking at him.

"I'm not." He managed to grumble.

I crossed my arms. "Anyway..." I began, "I'm hungry."

"Ofc you are." He mumbled, walking out the dorm with me following behind.

We went to the common area.

It seemed too..... quiet.... I looked around suspiciously... why was everyone being silent- and barely anyone was even here..

I just got my cereal and ate it... I just told myself I was over exaggerating.

Kacchan quickly grabbed my arm after I was done eating. I squeaked and just let him drag me along.

We went outside and the bushes seemed bigger than usual... but I stayed silent abt it..

I shook my head and Kacchan dragged me to a tree.

I stood up straight and looked at the tree. "Huh???" I asked, looking at him.

"Ok, what the heck is happening?" I asked, now just concerned and thinking I am going crazy.

Kacchan rolled his eyes. "Stop overreacting, damn nerd.." He mumbled.

I stared at Kacchan, obvious confusion showing on my face.

"...So, as we both obviously know from these dumb chains, we're soulmates.." Kacchan began, crossing his arms. He avoided eye contact with me. "For.... a while now... I have been feeling a strange way around you... a strange feeling.." He said.

Then, it hit me... he's confessing his love for me... I eyes just widened in disbelief as I watched and listened to him talk.

Kacchan finally said, "I... love you.."

I blinked a few times, then smiled. I quickly hugged him. Sure, I said nothing, but my response was good enough to be translated as an 'I love you too'.

Our classmates came outta the bushes and celebrated, like it was someone's birthday. I smiled at them as I watched.

Finally, after everyone was done celebrating... Mina DEMANDED that me and Kacchan kissed..

And kissed we did, the chains around our wrists.... disappearing into thin air..
