Chapter 1 - Flashback

-Izuku's 10th b-day-
-Izuku's POV-

When I(Izuku Midoriya) woke up I shot out of bed.

My heart was racing, I was filled with energy.

I ran into the living room.

My mom wasn't there, probably asleep, but my dad was there.

"Dad! Dad!", I yelled.

My dad(Hisashi Midoriya) looked at me, "Yes?"

"It's my 10th birthday! That means I get my Soul-Watch!", I squealed with joy.

My dad looked proud for me, but I knew he was faking it.

I didn't bother the fact my dad doesn't like me, but I hate how he fakes liking me.

I waited until my mom(Inko Midoriya) was up.

When my mom woke up she walked out her room and gave me a big hug.

"Happy Birthday, my Little Brocolli!", She said with a smile.

I smiled back, I loved that nickname.

My mom went to her room for about a minute then walked out with presents.

I squealed with joy, running up to my mom.

My mom placed the gifts down on the table, "Which one do you want to open next?", my mom asked me.

I pointed at the biggest present, "That one!"

-After Opening Almost All Presents-

There was one more present left, the tiniest one.

I opened the present and it had my Soul-Watch inside.

My mom put the Soul-Watch on my wrist.

I switched the Soul-Watch on.

After a bit of it saying 'Loading...' and 'Scanning...' it finally turned to a time.

Luckily, I was a patient child.

I looked at my mom and showed her the Soul-Watch.

My mom smiled, "Congrats!"

"Mom. I have a question!", I said.

"What is it, honey?", my mom asked.

"When I meet my soulmate, what happens to the Soul-Watch?", I asked.

"Uh- Well... it disappears...", my mom said, but it almost sounded like she was asking it.

I ignored the fact my mom said it in a questioning tone.

I celebrated the rest of my birthday, then went to sleep.
