How many times have we had a sucky teacher who didn't give a crap about the students? Too many times, am I right? Teachers should be people who actually care about teaching the students and want students to succeed. I was sent this about a week ago by @fawntaco
It happened today at school, second period. I had just left science class to go to PE. We're supposed to leave our stuff outside of the gym and line up in alphabetical order so our PE teacher can take role. For some reason today he wasn't out there. Eventually, he called us into the gym for attendance instead.
When we were lined up, instead of taking attendance, he started to yell at us. I can't remember exactly what he said, but it was along the lines of this:"You can't think for yourselves! You think that just because everyone else is still out in the hall that you should be there too. I've told you that you need to put your bags out in the hall and come into the gym for attendance." When really, we didn't know. He then proceeded to say the one thing that stuck in my head for the rest of the day:
"If you can't start thinking for yourselves, you're dead!"I can't believe he said that, and then after proceeded to say things like "This is the easiest thing, everyone should be able to do this," and "You act like first graders."He also said something like "There must be some kind of disease going around, infecting your brains and making you think that just because someone else is doing something you can too. I can't believe you."
Keep in mind, these are KIDS. THIS IS NOT OKAY. This is a case of those in authority not respecting those under them. This is such a problem nowadays. The ones in charge expect those under them to comply with their rules and respect them, but don't show them the same courtesy, and downright take advantage of their power. And even worse, this is such a tiny thing to get upset over. Not coming in for attendance? You can't get much smaller than that. And he's not even losing his temper, this is just straight insulting them. It's bullying. It's still bullying if an adult in some sort of authority position does it, and it is not right.
