<Kaylin>
"Dad, do I really have to go?", I grumbled.
"Yes. You have to go to school. And maybe it won't be like it was in Chicago. We moved all the way down here to California for a new start remember?", he pushed.
I just put my headphones back in and turned The Veronica's up louder. One last moment of peace before the drama starts.
People don't tend to take me being a lesbian very well. But these people will just have to learn fast that I don't take crap from other people. Any girl who I date usually means the world to me because I don't do one night stands and I won't let stupid ignorant people ruin my relationships, it's none of their damn business anyway.
As we pulled up at school, I was quick to get out before da could say anything more about this year being different.
I was in such a hurry that I didn't notice in that same moment someone was walking past the car also not paying attention. We ran right into each other.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry I didn't see you there", a blond with the most beautiful blue eyes said.
"I...No it was my fault I should have been paying more attention", I stammered, picking up her books.
"You're new here? I'm Sam by the way", she giggled extending her hand. This niceness won't last long, but I took it anyway.
"I'm Kaylin, and yeah I just moved here. Apparently I left all my senses there", I explained. She giggled. That sound was so beautiful.
"Well, see you around", Sam started walking away,"oh wait what do you have for first period?."
I pulled out my schedule and handed it to her.
"Oh! Yay! You have it with me I'll show you where it is if you'd like," she offered, and I gladly took her up on it.
