<Kaylin>

We ran down the street until we reached the entrance to the park. It may sound silly but I really wanted to sit in the tunnel like when I was a kid.

"Come on," Sam giggle, tugging on my hand.

We laid on the floor of the tunnel, staring at the black, empty ceiling. Her hand was still in mine. I ran my fingers over hers.

"Sam..." I whispered.

"Yeah?" she asked.

"Why now?" I pressed, "you haven't said 2 words to me since I moved and now you say you've always had a thing for me."

"I, uhm, I'm straight. I don't understand how you could make me want you just by looking at me," she stammered.

"Ok.... So why does that affect you talking to me?" I pushed.

"Because frankly it pissed me off", she laughed.

I didn't answer her back. I just leaned forward and ran my fingers through er hair.

"Wait," she murmured with our lips centimeters apart, "I don't think I'm ready for this."

"Ok," I said, pulling back to my original position.

"Really? No why not?," she asked surprised.

"No but I wouldn't mind you telling me," I laughed.

"I...I'm a virgin," she stammered blushing.

"Wow that's all," I couldn't help but smile, "Sam, it's not like I was gonna drop your pants and fuck you right here."

She laughed but hit me in the arm staring at me.

"What was that for?" I asked.

"For laughing at me and saying that like I should have known," she answered.

"Well you should have. I can't believe you think I'm that kind of person," I said smiling.

We sat in silence for a while after that. It wasn't an awkward silence but more of an understanding silence.

"Kaylin," I heard her barely mumble.
