It's funny, how similar two complete strangers could be. It's funny how, last week, she swore she'll end it all, and how a whole stranger smiled her way and all she had on her mind was 'damn his smile is so nice'. She missed smiling like that, if she was being honest, she couldn't recall the last time she smiled.
They met each other in the street a week ago, and today, they were both laying down on the cold grass, in the park, under the night sky, counting stars and talking about their dreams and hopes. The top of their heads were touching, as both quietly relaxed completely in the night. Being the gentleman he was, he offered her his flannel, so she wouldn't get her clothes dirty.
His friends always played 'matchmaker' and sent him on dates with random girls from his campus, and he couldn't deny that they were all attractive; but none was like her, so familiar yet strange. No one made him feel like this.
Their feelings were mutual and they knew it- but they were too afraid to say anything since it was all too fast. They didn't want to rush. For her, he might be the reason she'll stay a little longer in this world, someone that'll hopefully bring her smile back on her face. For him, she was an angel on earth, a divine creature he couldn't help but feel drawn to. Maybe it was the way she looked up at him when they met, the way her beautiful sapphire eyes held nothing but pain and loneliness inside, or maybe her suave voice that would often sing him lullabies.
''It's getting late.'' she was the one breaking the silence, slowly lifting her weak body from the ground, fixing her messy brown locks before looking down at his peaceful figure, eyes barely open as he looked at her with his dreamy caramel eyes, ''we won't be seeing each other for a few days. I'm visiting my mother.'' the brown haired girl added, her voice low and quiet, honey-like, intoxicating all his senses.
''I'll miss you.'' he felt bold tonight, and his statement caught them both off guard. He'll miss her. ''What shall we do when you come back?''
Stretching her lean arms, she gazed down at his figure, ''I have something in mind...but it'll be a surprise.''
''I have something in my mind too.'' he added.
''Then let's make as many memories as we could, together. Just the two of us.''
