The days when she was gone were simply boring. Hanging out with his friends wasn't the same anymore, as all he could think about was her; her dark brown hair shining in the sun rays, the way she would scrunch her nose whenever she would almost sneeze, the way she pressed her pinkish lips in a thin line when she didn't know what to say, or how she would play with her fingers whenever she was explaining something. It was the small things. She didn't know much about her and he couldn't understand how she accidentally made him fall for her in a week, when he couldn't bring himself to like other girls, no matter how hard he tried. She was the one.
He never believed in love at first sight, it sounded gross to him; but his world turned upside down when his eyes met hers. He swore he saw galaxies in her eyes.
She, too, missed him. The hours spent in the hallways as she was visiting her mom seemed like years now, and all she wanted was to go back in town and see his face again. What was the point anyways- her mom was locked in this place for a while now, and she won't be getting out too soon. Thirteen years- murder. Only three have passed, ten more to go. But if she was being honest, she didn't want her back.
Without looking back, she bought a train ticket, waiting in the empty train station to leave this place and spend some more time with him. Seeing her mother always made her heart ache. She deserved better, but she could never forgive her for what she did to her uncle and father.
She didn't want to think about it anymore, she needed a break.
Her clock was ticking; she had to spend as more time as possible with him.
