*Riley POV*

"How could you be so stupid?" Dean exclaimed. "You see a demon, you kill it! Not invite it round for tea and cake!"

"Dean, she can help us with your deal!" Sam insisted.

Dean scoffed and rolled his eyes. "What's she gonna do? Upgrade me to first class on my one-way trip to hell?"

Riley flinched slightly but didn't say anything. Since Dean had kissed Lisa two weeks ago, things between him and Riley had been tense, to say the least. Dean stuck to his word and gave Riley space when she asked for it. He gave her time to work through her thoughts, and he spent every day proving that he loved her. While she was still hurt by his actions, she was working on forgiving him. She just wanted things to go back to normal, which was why she was pleased to have the distraction of Sam's confession. They were all in a motel, and Sam had told them all about his meeting with Ruby the night Dean and Riley had saved Ben. To say Dean wasn't happy about it was an understatement, hence Riley's decision to stay quiet.

"Dean, we can use her to get information on the demons we're up against," Sam said.

"So you're pals with a demon now? Great," Dean said sarcastically. "Remind me to add her to my Christmas card list!"

Dean's phone started ringing from inside his bag.

"Alright, I get it. You don't trust her, but can you trust me?" Sam said, stepping towards his older brother.

"Do you trust her?" Dean raised a brow.

The phone continued to ring.

"I don't know, maybe," Sam shrugged. "She's not like the others, Dean."

Dean rolled his eyes again and turned away from Sam. Suddenly, he spun around to face Riley.

"Are you gonna answer that or not?!"

Riley held up her phone. "It's not mine. It's coming from your bag."

Dean's firm look faltered slightly, and he walked over to his bag, pulling out not his phone, but John's. Dean mumbled an apology and answered the phone. Riley and Sam watched him carefully. Riley glanced at Sam when Dean suddenly scrunched his brows in confusion, but Sam merely shrugged and shook his head, indicating he had no idea who Dean could be talking to. Dean then hung up and dropped the phone back in the bag.

"What's wrong?" Riley asked.

"Did you know Dad had a secret lock up outside of Buffalo?" Dean asked Sam.

"No," This time, Sam scrunched his brows in confusion.

"Well, he does, and someone broke in last night," Dean said.

"We better go check it out," Sam said seriously.

Dean nodded, and they wasted no time heading out to John's secret storage unit. When they arrived, Riley followed the brothers inside and was shocked to find the room full of weapons, what looked like memorabilia from their childhoods, and some strange looking boxes. She also noticed the devil's trap painted on the concrete floor. As Riley stepped closer to investigate, she was suddenly pulled back by Sam.

"Careful," Sam pointed to the floor.

Riley looked down and caught a glimpse of a trip wire just in front of her, level with her ankles.

"Whatever Dad kept in here, he wanted protected," Sam said.

"Don't wander off too far," Dean said.

"It's a storage locker. Where am I gonna go?" Riley raised a brow.
