*Riley POV.*

"I didn't want him to worry," Dean sighed.

"He needs to know, Dean," Riley said, folding her arms across her chest.

"No, he doesn't. The only reason you know is because you were there," Dean said.

"So you wouldn't have told me?" Riley raised a brow.

"No, I wouldn't. I didn't want you to see any of that, Riley," Dean said.

"Well, I did, Dean, I saw it all," Riley exclaimed. "And I know it scared you."

Dean ran a hand down his face and sighed heavily. "Look, I don't wanna talk about this right now."

"When then? You can't avoid this forever," Riley said softly.

"I'm not trying to. I just, I.. I can't.." Dean stammered, running a hand through his hair.

"Alright. I get it," Riley sighed.

"No, you don't," Dean said in a low, deep voice. He looked down at the ground, shaking his head slowly.

"I do. You don't wanna talk about it. But you can't sit there and pretend nothing happened, Dean. You might not want to admit it, but I know you're scared," Riley said firmly. Dean looked up at her with glazed eyes. "I saw everything in that room, and I saw how scared you were."

Dean sat down on the bed with a sigh and ran a hand down his tired face. Riley walked over to him and dropped down to her knees in front of him. She placed her hands on his knees.

"Just answer me one question," Riley said softly.

"What?"

"If there was a way to stop you going to hell, would you do it?" Riley said.

Dean sighed again. He looked up and shook his head. "No, not at your expense."

Riley stood up and ran a hand through her hair.

"I can't believe you!" Riley exclaimed.

"Riley, we've been through this. No, I don't want to go to hell, okay? I'm terrified! But I'm not willing to save myself if it means something happens to you!" Dean argued.

"And what if I did it anyway? What if I accepted the deal?" Riley raised a brow.

"I'm asking you not to!" Dean exclaimed.

"And I'm telling you I want to!"

Dean ran a hand down his face. Riley could see the frustration building in him, but she didn't care. She was mad, too.

"Listen to me, as long as you're my girlfriend, I don't want you taking that deal. I'm warning you, Riley, do not take that deal," Dean said in a low, stern voice.

"And what if I'm not your girlfriend anymore? Then what?" Riley said, narrowing her eyes at him.

"Don't say that," Dean shook his head.

"You said, as long as I'm your girlfriend, I can't take that deal. So I won't be your girlfriend anymore," Riley shrugged.

"Is that what you want? You want to break up over some stupid deal that you don't even know anything about?" Dean raised a brow.

"I know it saves your life. That's all I need to know," Riley said.

"This is stupid. We're not breaking up over a text message!" Dean exclaimed.

"I'm sorry, Dean. But if there's even a chance I can save you, I'm taking it," Riley said sadly. She felt like her heart was being torn from her chest. "So, it's over.. We're.. over."
