Chapter 15

As the world covered in ash, one man appeared. He would later be called Raffles I. Raffles took his disciples and left on a journey in search of light. At the end of his journey, he found an "unsullied flame," and brought forth light that would be mankind's salvation. Raffles and his disciples used the flame bestowed by the great Sol and the technology cultivated to create "Amaterasu". The sacred flames of Amaterasu benefits the lives of mankind and ended up establishing the foundation of a state in the far East.

Shinra's eyes widened at the news Viktor them. The location of the White-Clad's hideout was in...

"Th--The Nether...you say?" Shinra questioned.

"After Licht finished examining, what's left of Vulcan's workshop, he discovered that the Evangelist's men are hiding in the Nether." Obi explained.

"The Holy Sol Temple teaches us that the Nether is an unclean place where the great Sol's light doesn't reach." Iris said while [Y/n] nodded in agreement.

"Like the sister said, the Nether, or the area beneath the Tokyo Empire, is considered a forbidden land. Those who are using it as their base could be heretics who oppose the Holy Sol teachings." Obi said.

"As for the Nether, Tokyo once had subway trains that ran beneath is. Most of them crumbled and were buried during the Day of the Cataclysm, but I have determined that there are some places underground, where the caverns still remain." Viktor explained, "From the items that Dr. Giovanni left behind, and the regions where man-made Infernals have appeared, I've narrowed the area down." He pointed to Yotsuya on the map.

"Tomorrow, we're heading to the base of the people who are creating man-made Infernals." Obi said, and [Y/n] clutched her fist over her chest, "That's where the mysteries behind human combustion are sure to be. We're not laying anyone to rest This is a fight with our lives at stake." [Y/n] nodded.

Obi placed his hand on Shinra's shoulder. "We're bringing your brother back." He said.

"Yes, sir!" Shinra said.

"Company, let's get ready for tomorrow. Dismissed!"

Tomorrow felt like a million years away.

[Y/n] would be facing both of her siblings.

[Y/n] would be getting answers and, hopefully, her memories. Shinra and [Y/n] were planning on telling their captain about their relationship, but there were more serious manners to attend to. "Sh-Shinra-san..." [Y/n] called to her boyfriend as he walked to his room for the night.

He turned to her. "Tomorrow...I'll do whatever I can to reunite you and Sho-chan. I promise." [Y/n] wanted to give him some encouraging words. She noticed how serious and nervous he looked. Shinra stared at her for a moment then smiled.

"G-Good night." [Y/n] said.

Shinra walked over and pulled her into a warm embrace. "Thank you." He said, and [Y/n] smiled. They stayed embracing each other for a moment.

"[Y-Y/n]..." Shinra said, and [Y/n] hummed, "Can I k-kiss you?" He asked.

[Y/n]'s eyes widened a bit as she blushed more. "O-Of course." She said. The two looked at each other. "C-Could you close your eyes?" Shinra asked.

"Oh, r-right." [Y/n] said, realizing what she had to do. She closed her eyes. Shinra took a deep breath then leaned forward, placing his lips on [Y/n]'s. Her lips were as soft as he imagined. Shinra never thought he'd be the one out of the males in their academy to be [Y/n]'s boyfriend. [Y/n] clutched onto Shinra's black t-shirt and leaned in more to deepen the kiss. Just a mere kiss from Shinra left [Y/n] weak.
