Chapter 11

"The fact that my body has gotten like this on me. Waka has nothing to be concerned about." Konro said.

"You went to that length for Captain Shinmon?" Shinra questioned, and [Y/n] expression saddened.

Konro sat up. "Waka is the person whos should be in charge. I have no regrets sacrificing my body to intercede, either. You men know what I mean, right? If it means supporting Waka, I'll offer my two-bit life as many times as I need to." He said.

"You shouldn't do that, sir. For as long as I can remember, my family...and everything else I held dear has been lost. So to me, there are no two-bit lives, or even high-priced ones." Shinra said and clutched his fist.

[Y/n] gave a worried look. "Everyone's life is precious. I want to be a hero that saves everyone! Lieutenant Konro, before you decide to give your life away, please use me! I want to be of help!"

Everyone smiled at him. "Thanks. I appreciate how you feel. Until you find something that's truly important to you, I'll count on you." Konro said.

"Important to me?" Shinra questioned and glance at [Y/n], who was smiling at Konro.

"I feel much better after staying here and talking to you, but I can't lie around all day. I'm going to do some interviews, too." Konro said and got up then began to walk out.

"Is there no way we can help the investigation?" Obi asked.

"It won't bother me. As long as I'm there, it shouldn't be a problem." Konro said.

As [Y/n] began to walk out, she stopped when her name was called. She was the last one out, so there was no one behind her. [Y/n] looked to her right to see her squad leaving with Konro then she looked to her left to see Shinra, who was hiding around the corner, waving her over.

[Y/n] raised a brow and walked over to him. He grabbed [Y/n]'s hand and started pulling her out through the back way.

"Where are we going, Shinra-kun?" [Y/n] asked. He didn't answer. He continued to run dragging [Y/n] along.

"Shinra!" [Y/n] yelled, and he slowed down.

"S-Sorry, I just thought...we should spend time together..." Shinra said while rubbing the back of his head.

There was something off about his behavior. "Well, you could have asked instead of dragging me down the street." [Y/n] said with a smile, "But, I think we should ask Captain Obi for permission."

"But..."

[Y/n] could hear yelling and arguing in the distance. "What is that?" [Y/n] questioned, but Shinra placed his hands on [Y/n]'s shoulders.

"There's something I want to tell you." Shinra said, and [Y/n] gave him a questioning look.

"What's gotten into you?" [Y/n] asked.

"I love you!" Shinra blurted out, and [Y/n]'s eyes widened in shock.

"W-What?!" She panicked as she blushed, "I-I mean...I don't-"

Suddenly flames came bursting around the town once again. "Infernals!"

[Y/n]'s eyes widened in horror. "Infernals? Shinra, we have to go." [Y/n] said while grabbing his wrist.

Shinra placed both of his hands on [Y/n]'s reddened cheeks. Shinra leaned forward until...

"[Y/n]!"

[Y/n] snapped out of it and punched Shinra in the stomach with her flaming fist then kneed him in the face sending him flying. [Y/n] glared down at the man on the floor that looked like Shinra.
