Chapter 5

Shinra landed in front of Hibana's manor and gently set [Y/n] on her feet. "Are you alright?" Shinra asked while holding out his hand. [Y/n] nodded and took it. Shinra began to lead the way towards the inside of the manor. "Pardon the intrusion!" Shinra announced as they walked inside. "This is a great chance to see how far I can go up against a company captain." Shinra muttered to himself, "But I don't see any chance of winning unless I can deal with that ability."

'Iris...Hibana, just what were you planning to do?' [Y/n] thought to herself and squeezed Shinra's hand. Shinra noticed the worried look on [Y/n]'s face. "Sister...she'll be alright." Shinra reassured, and [Y/n] smiled a bit. "You're not getting through." They heard. It was the 5th's Angels. Shinra let go of [Y/n]'s hand and stood in front of her. "Three on three!" Shinra used the flames in his feet to send a flying kick, knocking them out. Shinra landing at the top of the staircase, and [Y/n] followed him up the stairs. They stopped for a moment then nodded at each other. Shinra slowly opened the door.

They rushed down the hall towards a large room. "Leave the sister alone!" Shinra yelled at Hibana after opening the door, "The hero has arrived."

"Iris!" [Y/n] called and ran over to hug her. "I'll start by burning him up. Stay there and watch." Hibana ordered Iris. "Shinra-san, run! As strong as you are, you can't beat the captain!" Iris warned, and [Y/n] hugged Iris tighter. "Be careful, Shinra-kun." [Y/n] said.

"It's all right, Sisters." Shinra reassured, "Things aren't gonna go like last time."

"Gravel, you haven't forgotten, have you? You can't lay a finger on me." Hibana said. "We'll know unless I try." Shinra said and activated his ability. Before he could get close to Hibana, Hibana activated her ability, causing Shinra to stop and fall to the ground.

"Shinra-san!"

"Shinra-kun!"

Hibana smirked, "Once again, you're on the ground. You really are gravel." Hibana mocked. "Damn, I'm so lightheaded..." Shinra muttered while [Y/n] gave him a worried look, and Hibana stepped on Shinra's head. "W-What is this...?"' He muttered. "Heat syncope." Hibana said.

"Heat syncope...?"

"Your body is currently enveloped in heat of my making." Hibana explained. "What?" Shinra questioned. "The heat is making your blood vessels dilate and your pressure drop. The blood flowing to your brain has fallen sharply. That's making you lightheaded." Hibana explained and kicked Shinra in the face, "For someone who showed up so enthusiastic about being a hero to stumble and fall over a little heat wave is laughable." Hibana pulled out her fan.

Shinra slowly got up. "Lighthead? Oh? Then I've got this whole situation wrong, don't I?" Shinra muttered and stood on his shaky feet. "What do you have wrong? You really are unsteady on your feet, right?" Hibana questioned. "The palpitation, shortness of breath, and dizziness are all in my head!" Shinra said with a nervous smile on his face. "Looks to me like you're just grinning and bearing it." Hibana said with her fan covering her lower face, "Besides, the biggest illusion you're under is believing that you're a hero, isn't it?"

Shinra sighed and grinned. "Right now, I'm lightheaded in my reality, and in my mind. So misguided or not, I can be a hero, too." Shinra announced, and [Y/n] smiled. "Ridiculous. There's no way you should be able to stand." Hibana said. "Compared to the drills Lieutenant Hinawa put me through, this is nothing." Shinra said.

"Fine, then. It's no fun burning up an opponent who can't fight back. Clematis!" Hibana said and flames came from her fan in the shape of clematis, "You can be immolated by my red-hot flowers."

"Nee-san, you can't still be--"

"Keep quiet and watch." Hibana said, menacingly. "Hibana..." [Y/n] muttered, and Iris looked down, sadly. "Princess Hibana, aren't you the one laboring under the wrong assumption?" Shinra questioned. "What?" She questioned. "Yeah. Tonight..." Shinra said and stomped his foot, making flames rise up behind him. "...I'm Deluded-Lady-Wakeup-Call Man!"
