Jasmine awoke to the sound of Larry fumbling with the bedsheets beside her. Annoyed, she got up from her place on the bed and gave Larry a look, making him flinch slightly, but return to his cheerful demeanour almost immediately.
"Good morning," said Cari, who seemed to have been awake long before Jasmine had. Larry gave her a yawn in return.
It took Jasmine a moment to recall the events of the previous day, and as she did, her eyes flew open in excitement. She could taste the battle in the air; the smell of blood, of "good" against "bad."
She had gotten the details of Moldymort from Harry, (from now on, she was referring to Harry Styles as Hazza, and Harry Potter as Harry. She'd told her friends to do the same, too, as two Harrys was a bit confusing for her), so she knew what to expect when it came to him. However, she was far from scared.
Jasmine had a motto: rip, tear, kill. She'd gone by it since she was eight years old, and she'd never let go of it. It seemed to be the only good way to win a battle, in her eyes. Kaia's logical thinking was just a waste of time.
It was only then she noticed that Kaia wasn't in the room. Feeling slightly hazy, she looked around the room for her friend, but with no avail. Kaia had probably gone for a walk, though—she seemed to think that it was the best way to clear her head. Jasmine wasn't so sure, but she had never said anything.
"Guess what, folks?" Larry said, propping himself up on the windowsill with his elbows. "Today is battle day!"
Jasmine nodded, grinning, but only ever so slightly. Cari caught her eye and laughed softly.
"I can't wait," said Jaz enthusiastically. "I can finally get another chance to rip, tear, and kill!"
Larry frowned. "I never quite understood that," he said, pouting a bit. "How can you rip someone? People aren't paper, right? Right?"
"You are honestly the biggest dunderhead I've ever met," Jasmine groaned, throwing her hands in the air exasperatedly. "I really don't understand how someone can be that dumb—"
"But I'm hand—"
"—some to a deformed pig," Jasmine finished, rolling her eyes. She wasn't quite sure what she was saying; she had just wanted Larry to shut up. Behind her, Cari stifled a giggle at Larry's dumbfounded expression.
