❝Truth is the only daughter of time❞

It only took a touch,
but it brought past, present, and future together.
It only took a song,
but evil and good came, and merged into one.
There are two sides of every story; that's what happened...
They had been waiting an hour, but still no response from Kaia. Jasmine would be lying if she had said that she wasn't growing impatient—but then again, it probably wasn't Kaia's fault. She was most likely locked up. Or not even here.
"Can we play a game?" Larry asked.
"But what should we play?" Louis asked. "Maybe two truths and a lie?"
"Or—" Peeta said, "maybe a game to see who could shoot the most arrows in ninety seconds?" A small smirk appeared on Katniss's face, but it disappeared quickly.
"What if someone tries to kill us?" Cari asked anxiously. "I'm not paranoid, I promise, but if these people had the guts to capture Kaia, I think that—"
"But it's just a game!" Larry whined. "Like the ones in disneyland! You know what disneyland is, right? Everyone? I think you all do know—"
"This isn't disneyland, because they want us dead." Jasmine said. She emphasized the last bit. Larry could be so thickheaded sometimes—life wasn't always fun and games, butterflies and roses. Jasmine had lived through the hard stuff, so she knew. Larry had, but he was too ignorant.
"Who wants us dead?" asked Harry. He shared a confused look with Louis.
"Everyone," Cari shrugged, answering for Jasmine. "Ever since some 'baddies' found out that we were the elementals, they made it their life mission to kill us. I don't know what goes through their thick heads, because it's not like our powers will pass to them or something."
"Marc, our trainer, protected us for the first three years of us being elementals," Larry added. "We started training when I was five, and the girls were six. We finished a year later, but Marc stayed with us for the next three years. I was nine when he left, and they were ten. We never saw him again."
Niall pretended to wipe a tear, making Zayn and Liam share an amused glance. "Why do you have to always make it sound so sad?" Niall asked, pretending to cry. "You could be an actor, Larry. Do you know that?"
Larry beamed at the compliment. "I'll think about the extraordinary and exquisite profession," he said, purposely trying to use big words. Jasmine rolled her eyes inside her head. Larry was just so dumb sometimes, and he tried too hard to impress. She then wondered if he had impressed Niall.
