Summer Camp

The summer had just begun and already my head was pounding. I couldn't help but notice the wind stop and everything become slow motion. I looked to my right to see a tall (taller than me, actually fairly short) brown-haired seventeen-year-old walk through the double doors into the big gymnasium scattered with excited primary school children.

I was too busy staring to notice he was now standing next to me, watching the children file onto the buses with the actual adults. All the counsellors took a smaller bus that hadn't arrived yet due to the driver being sick on the way over. Dream boy took the words right out of my mouth by speaking up, sort of leaning in so no one could hear "I thought this would be a little more organised" he chuckled down my ear "honestly, I thought it would be less so" I returned his giggle

"Alex, you can call me Al but you don't have to." Obviously, I don't have to. He seemed flustered by the fact that I hadn't ignored him completely "y/n, it's nice to meet you... Al" he smiled at me and I could tell this would be a good summer.

Sorry for how short this one was. I'm thinking about making it into a series but I'm not sure. Let me know in the comments if that's something you would be interested in.
