Raven's POV

The whole morning, I laid in bed and admired Jade's painting. Spending days without her was harder than I thought. She used to make my days interesting, but now I just thought about her repeatedly.

I decided to clear my mind and go for a walk. In front of the jewelry store, there were 6 musicians. People were standing around them and enjoying the music. I decided to stop, when I saw Alessandro through the window. He was with his ex. I remembered Celeste told me that he was at the coffee shop with her once and I thought there might be something going on. I went inside, hid behind the necklace section and tried to see what they were doing. She was smiling and looking at Alessandro with her bright eyes. That's when I noticed the wedding ring she was holding. I couldn't believe this. Alessandro was really engaged to her?

I was so furious and I couldn't hide this awful secret from Celeste. I went home and she was peacefully reading on the couch.

- Celeste, you won't believe what I just saw. Alessandro was buying a wedding ring with his ex. They were in the jewelry shop near the bakery, I clearly saw them.

- WHAT! Oh Raven I knew he was getting back with her. What am I gonna do now?

Celeste and I went to Alessandro's house, she waited in the living room while I hid in Jade's room. Even with all the drama going on, I still enjoyed seeing all of her stuff. Her room had this relaxing floral scent.

- Hi love! Oh what's going on? Are you crying? Celeste come here, you can talk to me.

- I can't believe you're getting back with her! I know you had a past together and you had two kids but I'm there for you, I thought I'd be a part of your life forever.

- What is this about Celeste? Of course you will be in my life forever, how could you say such a thing?

- You were buying her a wedding ring today, don't lie to me.

Alessandro smiled, looked at the ground and took Celeste outside. I got closer to the window and I saw Celeste wiping off her tears and looking at Alessandro, surprised. He got down on one knee, looked at her and smiled even more. Celeste started crying again, this time it seemed like she was happy. She nodded, put the ring on her finger and took Alessandro in her arms. I ran outside and screamed of happiness.

A week later

Jade's POV

I spent a wonderful week, I hadn't seen my friends for so long and it felt great. But I couldn't help the fact that I missed Raven. I told my friends about them and they thought I seemed really happy with Raven in my life. I wore the clothes they gave me almost everyday.

At the train station, Dante was waiting for me in his car.

- Hey little cousin! How was your trip?

I told him everything on the way home. Once we arrived, I ran to my room, started unpacking my suitcase, and I heard a sound from my window. Raven was there. I really missed them, I couldn't wait to see them.

- Jade, you're home! How did it go?

I took them in my arms and didn't wanna let go. We sat on my bed and I told them everything.

- You should've seen how good I was at starting fires! We even saw a bear, it was crazy!

I kept on talking about my camping trip and an hour later, we were watching a movie. Their head was on my laps and I was playing with their hair. They looked up at me and smiled.

- I really missed you Jade. I'm happy you're back home.

They sat next to me and held my hand. I felt my heartbeat through my whole body. They looked at me, waiting for a sign.

- Um, Raven there's something you should know, I started seeing someone in France.

Days later

Raven's POV

I haven't talked to Jade since the night she came back. I tried my best to forgive her but there's nothing she should even be sorry about. I know she didn't feel the same way as I did and I'm stupid for not telling her about it before. The moment she told me, I immediately took my stuff and left. I didn't even have the energy to argue with her, it was all my fault to get attached.

Another thing is that Celeste announced us that the wedding would be in a week, since they wanted a small wedding before the summer ends. Jade and I are the flower people and we have to sit right next to each other. It sucks because I try my best to avoid her but I won't be able for much longer.

I spent most of my days in the forest cave near my house, this way I wouldn't have to risk seeing her.

- Raven I've been looking for you.

- What are you doing here? Jade don't, please.

- I didn't do anything wrong. I never wanted to hurt you and I don't get why you'd run away from me again.

I was so mad when I looked at her. She looked back at me and her eyes started watering. It wasn't my fault, she shouldn't be the one hurting right now.

- I don't wanna hear about it, leave.

- Please Rav-

- LEAVE!

She ran away, crying. I felt incredibly bad about screaming at her, but I had to, even though it hurt me.

For the next few days, I stayed home, swimming, baking and playing the harp in church when I helped my mom in the library. I got closer to my mom, I think she had a point about the whole conversation we had about Jade.
