Raven's POV
After breakfast, we all went home separately, except Celeste and Alessandro who stayed longer for their honeymoon. When I got home, I ran to my room and unpacked my suitcase. Jade's dress from the day she came swimming here was still hanging in my room. I didn't want to give it back to her, it was like a reminder of her everyday, even when she wasn't here.
- Raven, can I come in?
- Sure mom.
- I don't really know how to tell you this, but I know you weren't in our room last night. I woke up to a sound in the middle of the night and you were gone. Now I know you're 15 and you might want to discover new things but that's not the way it should happen Raven! Not in a hotel with the waiter from last night! I saw you two exchanging eye contacts yesterday, I just didn't think you would do such a thing.
- Um...
- Now I don't need you to apologize, it won't change a thing. You're grounded, you can't leave the house for a week. Think before doing something like that!
- Mom that's not what happened!
- Then tell me.
- Well, um see... ok yeah fine you got me.
I didn't know what to say. I wasn't gonna just tell her what I did with Jade! There's no way she's ever gonna discover it that way. Mom left the room, angry. I didn't care much about being home for a week, but that meant I'd have to convince Jade to sneak in. Gladly, there was a tree right next to my window, I used to climb it all the time when I was younger. I took my phone and called Jade.
Jade's POV
- Hello?
- Hi Jade, it's Raven! Um, I know we said we'd hang out this week, but my mom grounded me. She thinks I spent the night with the waiter from last night.
- She really thinks that? Ohh so now I'm a waiter, how fun!
- Haha don't be silly! The thing is I can't leave the house for a week and I was wondering if you'd sneak out to see me.
- Raven, I'm so sorry I just don't think I should. Your mom is already mad enough, if she sees me with you, we'll both be dead. But we can spend all day on the phone, as long as she doesn't hear us on the other line.
After talking for a few minutes, we hung up. I went in the kitchen, where Maria and Dante were sitting.
- Hi little cousin!
- Hey Dante, what are you guys doing?
- Oh we're looking at the wedding pics? Wanna join?
- Sure!
We all sat together and flipped the pages. The pictures turned out so well. The flowers and all the trees in the back were so beautiful. At one point, we were looking at the pictures from when they were installing the fireworks.
- Ohhh it was so beautiful! I wish I had been there!
- I guess you were just too busy in the bridal suite huh?
- Maria! As a matter of fact, I was. My hair, remember?
- Yeah, I remember it being all over your face when I walked in.
- STOP!
Dante looked at us, confused. I got up and went to my room. I had to spend days stuck her with Maria, while Dante doesn't know anything. I know Maria couldn't keep it for herself anyway, so it was better for me to just leave already. Luckily, I hadn't unpacked my suitcase yet, so I just took a few things from it and put it in a bag.
- Bye guys! I'm going to see my friend, she's came from France this week, she's staying in a hotel.
- Why don't you just invite her here? said Dante.
- Oh, well I mean she already paid for the room, so... Ok I better go.
Maria laughed and continued looking at the pictures once I closed the door. I walked 5 minutes until I arrived to Raven's. I hurried to climb the tree and I knocked on their window.
- Jade! You came!
- Yeah, I couldn't deal with Maria.
Raven helped me to get inside and they held me in their arms, whispering to me. I looked at them, held their chin and kissed them. It's all I wanted, to be close to them.
- Jade, I really like you.
A tear left my eye, as I held her closer to me.
