Jade's POV
It was finally the big day. We all took a train to Rome, where the wedding was happening. Once we were at the destination, I was relieved because Raven wasn't here yet. Everything was so beautiful around. There were trees and flowers everywhere and a stone pathway, with wood chairs on each side.
Further away, there was a house, with the bridal suite and a few rooms to stay the night. I followed Celeste in and helped her prepare in the bridal suite. I braided her hair, tied her dress in the back and helped with her makeup.
After spending some time with Celeste, I saw Raven from the window. They were wearing this white sheer shirt with dark brown leather pants, they looked absolutely stunning.
Raven's POV
A few minutes after I arrived, Jade walked to my direction. She handed me a flower basket, without saying a word. When the ceremony started, we walked side to side, throwing petals on the ground. We sat next to each other in the front. Then, Celeste came outside, looking absolutely beautiful, and her dad walked her down the aisle. Everything was so peaceful around. The pianist was playing next to us, I wished I could talk to Jade at this moment. Before Alessandro and Celeste exchanged their vows, Jade stood up and walked in front of them.
- Celeste, I haven't known you for a long time, but I know you make my uncle so incredibly happy. He's told me about you for so long and he was right about everything. You are a kind, beautiful and bright person. Alessandro, I will be forever thankful that you welcomed me when my parents passed away, you were there for me and you helped me so much. I know my mom is looking down on us and is really proud of her brother right now. This wedding is about true love, I'm really happy for both of you.
Her words made me tear up. I tried to hide it before she sat down again, but she saw me.
- This was beautiful Jade. I whispered.
She didn't react to my comment.
After the ceremony came the afterparty. I went to see Celeste and Alessandro to congratulate them. In the middle of the conversation, Jade pulled me away from the group and whispered "meet me in the bridal suite". I looked at her, confused. She walked confidently to the house. I smiled awkwardly to Celeste and Alessandro and followed Jade. When I entered the room, she was looking at herself in the mirror, to avoid looking at me.
- Raven we cannot just stop talking to each other and be pissed off like that. You know I care about you and you have no right running away from me.
- Jade you know that's not what I want either but I can't act like I'm not mad at you. I thought you'd be bright enough to realize that I'm not okay with the fact that you started seeing someone. I feel so betrayed right now you can't even imagine.
Jade turned to me, crying, and sat on the bed.
- I made a mistake Raven. I was never seeing someone. I said that to make you forget about me and I know it's stupid but I had to.
- What? Why would you do that?
- I heard your mom the other day. She thinks I'm bad for you and I don't want to ruin your family. I know what it's like losing both your parents and I don't want to take away your last chance with your mom. Raven I would never want to hurt you.
- And you thought that telling me you were seeing someone wouldn't hurt me? What were you thinking!
- Why would you care that much anyway? I have the right to fall in love, not everything is about you Raven!
- Why would I care? Do you not realize that I wanted to be the person you were seeing?
I closed my mouth, and I immediately regretted saying that. She looked at me, traumatized.
- Jade I'm so sorry, forget I said that. You know what, I should really get g-
As soon as I stood up, she grabbed me by the waist and pulled me closer to her. She wiped off the tears from my eyes, grabbed the back of my head and kissed me.
- I don't know why I did that, I'm sor-
I grabbed her arm, sat her down on the couch and got on top of her.
- Don't apologize. I whispered before kissing her again.
We slowly laid down on the couch, while I moved my hand down to her neck. She had her arms around my waist and moved it in rhythm. Suddenly, I opened my eyes and saw Maria at the door.
- What are you two doing?
