I did not talk to Caiden.

I tried calling him, but he never picked up the phone. Deciding that spending all night trying to reach him would hurt my ego more, I called Sheila and William to hang out.

Sheila, however, had basketball practice throughout the evening because of an upcoming competition which left William.

Truthfully, I wasn't quite used to William, despite his humour and charm. Something about him still felt unfamiliar. The way he still talked and moved and thought. Just thinking about his age made me stare in awe.

Perhaps he was the only vampire that really proved to me I was immortal.

A knock interrupted my thoughts and I strode to the door and revealed William, in his purple tights, his dark hair tied on the back of his head, a light pink yoga mat in his hand and a wide smile on his face.

"Ah, let us practice the ancient art of yoga!" He walked in and put the huge bottle of blood on my table.

"Did you carry that in your hands all the way here?" I squinted at the bottle and William simply nodded. He put the yoga mat on the floor next to mine.

"Let us start with something simple!" He put his hands together on his chest and lifted one leg, leaning the foot against his inner thigh. "Tree pose!"

I mimicked his movements, finding it surprisingly easy to stand still. Something that was completely unachievable before I was a vampire, came to me as easy as breathing now.

A calming, melodious song came from my laptop and the atmosphere was relaxing enough to let go of all troubles. Except there was no way I could ever let go of my troubles.

"Something is bothering you, my dear." William murmured. "I can feel your chakras."

"Chakras sound like something intertwined and messy to me." I shrugged slightly and then sighed, still staring ahead and keeping my concentration on the wall. I think I could stay in this position for hours. "Caiden lied to me today."

"Hmm, what did young Caiden lie about?" William asked.

"Well, this girl called him today and I listened in on the conversation because I'm petty that way and he said it was James from programming." The fact he was talking to some girl didn't bother me as much as lying did. Something about him lying made it secretive, like he knew I would be mad.

Which made me mad.

"Oh, the magical box, my second favourite piece of technology." William hummed, we were still holding the tree pose.

"And which one is the first?" I chuckled. I wasn't sure whether we were supposed to talk during yoga sessions.

"The all-knowing, god-like creature hiding in the phone and on the thing you call a computer." William answered readily.

"Internet? Can't argue with that." I nodded.

"Oh, yes, I am learning so much! Like the course that explains how to become a billionaire in three simple steps! All I have to do is pay two thousand US dollars to participate!" William beamed.

"Uh, Will, I think that's a get-rich-quick scheme." I murmured.

"A scheme?! Treacherous!" He sighed. "I do not know how to handle this technology. Next pose!"

My hands and my leg dropped loosely by my side and I waited for instructions.

He lay down on his back with his knees bent, his feet glued to the floor and his arms at his sides. Then, he pushed his hips up.
