Once when The King Akbar
Was in his morning court,
Two men came to him running
And gave a strange report.
The old man siald, "Your Majesty,
I was carrying a heavy load,
This man asked to help me
In the middle of a lonely road."
"I agreed because the load
Was much more heavier for me,
But he asked something in return
I had nothing, so he did it for free."
"But now he is asking me
To give him 'Nothing',
I can't understand what to do
Please help me, My Great King."
The young man said, "Jahanpannah,
He said that he will,
Give me 'Nothing' in exchange
But what he gave me is just nill."
Birbal came forward when
The King asked him to come,
He siad calmly, "Dont worry,
I have a solution to this problem."
He asked the young man,
"Will you please bring me,
That pot placed over there?
And I pleade just for free."
The man brought the empty pot
And Birbal asked him out,
"What is in this pot young man?"
"There's nothing. What's this about?"
"Oh, this is all about the depth
That this old man have to pay,
I will be paying it to you."
The young man felt dismay.
"You said there's 'Nothing' in the pot
So what are you waiting for,
Take that 'Nothing' out quickly
Your dept is paid, I'm sure."
The young man left empty handed
And the old man satisfied,
"You can't harass others in my rule."
Akbar in excitement cried.
So that's how 'The Clever Birbal'
Proved himself the smartest of all,
And with his great skills he won
The hearts of the crowd in the hall.
