Y/n pov
She had finally made it to the city and got Ivy. Thankfully there was still a lot of hay and water there for her. Y/n got on and rode over to the spot where she was supposed to meet Karl and Quackity. The two were already there on their horses, they smiled when she approached.
"Hey! Ready?" Karl asked.
"Yeah, just follow me, it won't take long." The two boys followed her, and they finally reached the hill that overlooked the horizon. After setting down the blankets and food, they sat down.
"I brought something extra special," Quackity got up and walked over to his saddlebag as Karl and Y/n looked at him, intrigued. "What do we prefer, vodka, tequila, whiskey, which one Y/n?"
She genuinely didn't know, she'd never had a drink before. "I don't know, I've never had one, you decide."
Quackity let out an overdramatic gasp. "Well, today's your lucky day, vodka it is."
"I've only ever had it a few times, it's disgusting, but I mean try it and see if you want. Quackity did you bring my-" Quackity cut Karl off.
"Yes, I brought your Monster Karl, I'm not that forgetful." He grabbed a white can and threw it to Karl. Once he got the large bottle of vodka he sat down with them.
"Thank you, Quackmeister!" Karl said in between sips.
"Easy there, I only brought three Monsters." The three laughed at that.
"Y/n, what happened to your shoulder?" Karl asked after he saw a part of a bandage on her neck.
She put her hand on her shoulder. "Long story, but I just got a bad cut that's all, it's fine though."
He didn't want to push the subject so he dropped it.
"Now, Y/n, you've never had a drink before?" Quackity asked.
"No, I feel like I need it though to be honest."
"I wonder what kind of drunk you are, now I want to find out," He started opening the bottle and the cork quickly popped off, the alcoholic scent filled the air.
"Well, who knows, maybe you'll find out today!" She watched as he took a rather generous gulp of the clear liquid with no hesitation at all as Karl sat next to him with his Monster, watching, wide-eyed.
Quackity gestured the bottle towards Karl, but he quickly shook his head. "Eh, maybe later."
"I'm scared, all I know is that it burns, that's it."
"Yeah, well, you get used to it, if you don't like it, then be like Karl and drink once every year!" He rolled his eyes playfully at Karl and the blue-eyed boy did the same back, hitting him jokingly in the shoulder.
Quackity handed her the bottle and she sniffed its contents, it burned her nostrils. She thought about everything she was feeling and decided she wanted to numb it all away. Like she had said before:
What's the point anymore?
She didn't want to have a care in the world at that moment, all she wanted to do was try and forget what had happened, try and forget him, so she brought the bottle to her lips and tipped it upwards. The clear liquid finally reached her mouth, and she gulped it down, the taste was disgusting, and she quickly took the bottle away from her lips, coughing as her throat burned.
"Ew, what the hell, that tasted so bad," The taste wouldn't go away, which made her cough even more as the other two just laughed.
"Never said it would taste good," Quackity raised his hands in defense. "Here, how about we play Khemps, if you lose, you drink." He pulled out a deck of cards from the front pocket of his black button up shirt, and started shuffling. Both Y/n and Karl agreed, and they crowded together in a circle to start playing as the sun started to set on the horizon.
