-Corrine's POV-
All I remember from last night is seeing two headlights about what seemed like a foot away from me.

I look around the room I'm in, and see white tile floors, white ceilings, and light brown walls.

Out of the corner of my eye, I see something move on the other side of the small door to the room I'm in.

A woman walks in. She has long brown hair and green eyes. She pushes her square glasses towards her forehead with her index finger.

"Corrine? How are you feeling?"

"Fine, where am I?" I ask and try to get up, but feel a sharp pain shoot up my leg.

"Ow!" I yelp, not meaning to. I look at the woman, embarrassed.

"Be careful, you have a broken Patella. You are at Chicago Hospital."

"Okay, so I broke these from the car accident?"

"Yes, you were hit by Liam Henegahn." she tells me, going through random papers on her purple clipboard.

Liam. Liam hit me. Was he drunk? Did he see me in my car and hit me on purpose? Was he-

"Do you guys know each other or something?" The woman asks, interrupting my thoughts as she sat down in the fluffy, light blue chair.

"Yes, he's my ex-boyfriend."

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that."

"Yea, do you know why he hit my car?" I ask. How would she know? She probably doesn't know why.

"Yes, he passed out whilst driving."

Surprised, I reply with a simple "Oh."

"Yea, is there anything else I can do for you?"

"No," I say, but then think if I can see Liam. I really want to make sure he's okay for some reason. "Actually, yes. Can I see Liam?"

"Sure, I'll go get you a wheelchair and escort you to his room." she says with a smile, exposing her white straight teeth.

While she leaves, I lift up my blanket and peek at my knee. It has a huge white cast around it, and keeps my leg very still.

She returns within moments of my knee exploration, and helps me up into the wheelchair, which did I mention, includes lots of struggling, yelling, and pain.

After about 10 minutes, I finally got situated in my dark blue wheel chair. It smells like medical equipment.

"You good?" the woman asks.

"Yes, let's roll."

-Liam's POV-

"So, you shattered the door huh?" Parker asks, mesmerized with the way I ended up in the hospital.

"Yep, I didn't think it was going to be a big deal at first." I say with a chuckle and a wheeze, causing me to cough.

"You okay?"

"Yea, yea. I'm fine." I say, with my face red and my eyes wet.

"Okay, so, how long until-" Someone opens the door, and I see Corrine being wheeled into my room. My eyes widen, causing Parker to turn around.

"Uh, hi." She said, obviously embarrassed.

"Hi," Why is she here? Why does she care about me? "Why are you here?"

She just looks at me, with her mouth open, just like my mom looked at me.

I look away from her, and press my lips together. "Well?" I say, my voice wobbly from the memory of my mother.
