-Liam's POV-

I lay next to Parker, squeezing his torso. I dont want this to be real. I dont want this.

Why me?

I could avoid this.

I could run away.

"No" I whisper into Parker's abdomen.

But it could all be avoided.

With the start of a car.

-Parker's POV-

My eyes have heavy weights on them, but I'm awake.

I've been awake this whole time, struggling to open my eyes, but they refuse.

I've succeed a few times, but was frightened by figures jumping at me, and screaming and tears.

I feel a weight that I didnt notice until it was gone lift off of my stomach.

Shuffling steps, then a door opening and closing.

"Hey!" I yell.

To my response, I hear a woman's voice, "Hes awake!"

More shuffles, opening and closing of doors.

"Are you sure?" says another woman.

"I'm awake." I quietly answer the woman.

"Excuse me, Sorry, Excuse me." I hear a man now "Sir, can you move?"

I attempt to move my legs and arms to find they seem to be very light compared to my eyes.

"Yes, but my eyes" I try again to open them, nothing.

I hear whispers, and more shuffling, doors, equipment, buttons being pressed.

"Try now" the man says. I feel something enter my vein.

I pull on my eyelids with all the strength I have, nothing still.

"Nope" I say, popping the p.

More whispers, "Sir we are going to pull your eyelids open, just relax. You wont feel pain."

He says in a calm voice.

"Okay," I reply and relax my body.

I feel a cold touch on my eyes, and a tug. I am nearly blinded by the overhead lights.

The man leans over me, and takes a quick breath in, and whispers something to the nurse.

I doze off as the doctors and nurses try to infer what is wrong with my eyes, when I realize that Liam isnt here.

"Wheres Liam" I ask, more frantic than I intended.

"Not sure. We saw him leave a while ago."

He left? Where is he going? Why is he leaving?

After hours and hours of operating, I finally am able to stand and walk out of the hospital.

"Now to find Liam" I whisper to myself.

I pull my phone out of my pocket, and press Liam's name.

"Hello?"

"Liam! Where are you?"

Call ended

What?

I call Liam again, but it seems that he has blocked my number.

The next person I call is a taxi, so I can get back to the apartment.

I tell the cab driver the quick directions, and before I know it I am stepping out of the taxi and sprinting to the door of our apartment.

I fumble the keys between my fingers, open the door, and sprint inside.

"Liam!" I yell as I run through the apartment.

I hear a thud, and a quiet shit come from the bedroom at the end of the hall.

"Liam!" I yell again as I run to the room. I grab the handle and push to feel something blocking the door.

I hear a zipper, and feel a cool breeze. I look out the window to see Liam on the ground, his duffle next to him.

"Liam! What are you doing?"

I can see he's crying, and run outside.

"Liam! Answer!" I grab his arm and turn him towards me, but he is much stronger than me.

I squeeze harder, hoping to halt him, but fail. He escapes my small hands grasp, and runs to the car.

"What did I do?" I say under my breath.

I run to Liam, only to get a "Get away!" in response.

I don't understand.

"Please"

I thought these grenades already blew.
