She's got a smile that seems to me.
Reminds me of childhood memories.
Where everything was as fresh as the bright blue sky."Hey, baby, I'm back," Violet said shrugging her backpack off her shoulders. Axl looked up from his notebook and smiled. He set his notebook to the side and opened his arms allowing Violet to lay down on top of him. Axl kissed her head. "Long day?" he asked. Violet nodded. "We're getting kicked out," Violet said.
Nancy seemed to have left without a trace. Abandoning Violet in the process. But Violet liked it better that way. Even though she got an Eviction note claiming they're being kicked out because they didn't pay their bills.
"We'll be homeless and live under a bridge," Violet said. "No, we won't. Izzy will let us stay at his house," Axl said. Violet nodded. "We have to pack. We have to be out of here by tomorrow," Violet said.
So they packed. And packed. And packed. And more packing. And-
"Can we take a break?" Axl asked. "My back is killing me!" "Sure thing old man," Violet said before she kissed Axl between the eyes. Axl walked off to the kitchen to get something to drink. Violet sat on the bed and looked over at Axl's notebook.
A song for Violet.
Sweet Child O Mine. Read the top of the page. Violet picked it up and read it. Her heart fluttered and she blushed. She heard footsteps walking to the room. Violet placed the notebook back and ran to the closet and began to take more clothes out.
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
"Alright, just stay in here. No one even comes in here," Izzy said. "Why?" Violet asked. "Why?" Izzy asked. Violet blinked. "Anyway, make yourself at home. All that's in this room is a bed and a dresser. It was originally a guest room but we have no guests so..." Izzy said. "Any rules?" Violet asked. "No fucking. And that's it," Izzy said. Axl smirked. "So we can through house parties?" he asked. "Fuck no, I'll get in deep shit for that. Because ya know. I have a good mom," Izzy said. "Anyway better get comfortable because when mom comes home she'll be wanting to meet you," Izzy said before turning his heel and heading into his room.
"Well, welcome home," Violet said. Axl sighed. "Yeah, suppose we do as he says and gets comfortable," Axl said. Violet chuckled.
"It's so nice to meet you!" Sonja, Izzy's mom, said. Axl and Violet shook her hand. Sonja was nice and welcoming. She made Axl and Violet know everything would be alright.
Izzy's siblings Kevin and Joseph (Joe) were also very nice and Axl and Violet liked them. It made Axl think of his own siblings that he loved with all his heart.
"This is nice," Violet said as she and Axl sat on the roof watching the sunset. "Yeah," Axl said placing his hand on Violet's. "I wish we weren't so fucked up though," Axl said. Violet looked at Axl. Sadness lingered in her eyes. "I wish I wasn't so fucked up," Axl whispered. But Violet heard him. "Axl... you're perfect in my eyes. And I love you," Violet said. "I love you too, baby," Axl said.
"Tough life," Izzy said. Violet and Axl jumped and looked at the window where Izzy was leaning in the frame. "How long have you been there?" Violet asked. Izzy shrugged. "Since I heard you talking, hey I had to make sure you didn't secretly hate me!" Izzy said throwing his hands up.
Axl motioned for Izzy to join him and Violet on the roof. Izzy took the offer and jumped on the roof and sat beside Axl.
"Don't be so grim. It'll only be four years until we leave for L.A.," Izzy said. "What have you learned?" Axl asked. "We have a good chance started a band in L.A. The rock scene is gaining popularity," Izzy said. "Hasn't it been gaining popularity since the Beatles?" Violet asked. "No, you're thinking of the Beatles," Izzy said. "Why do you have to be so confusing when I talk to you?" Violet asked. Izzy shrugged.
