I won't be doing as many Harry POV's by the way, not until later.

Harry

God, I hated my parents.

They were always labelled as the evil rulers of the land, whoever started that must be a genius. They hated everything and everyone, including me. They never went outside or ate dinner with me and my sister. I was forced to grow up alone and with my sister Carolina. She was younger than me and she barely left her quarters. I chose to not follow the same path as my parents, I'm not a bad person but I was raised to be so it's infused into me. I try to visit the village civilians, sometimes I go and say hi and buy them food. That ended quickly, as I was caught by one of the guards. I haven't gone to the village in two weeks. Now I'm meant to be married to someone I've never even met, a rival. The prophecy will make everything better though right?

Wrong. I was not going to fall down the same rabbit hole my parents did. But what other option did I really have. The prophecy is sacred and is meant to unite everyone and finally bring peace to the land after so long without it.

I call bullshit on that one. How could fake love bring peace?

"Get up, come on," I heard a faint voice coming from outside my room. It was Zachary, he was my "servant" but we grew closer than that. I'd never tell anyone because it's "improper" for a prince to speak to the lower class. He had dark skin and nice eyes.

"I have training today, cancel my wedding preparations for later," I said getting up from my bed and pulling the curtains open.

"You don't have fencing until tomorrow, but I can make them an hour later at most," he said grabbing my clothes for the day.

"No, the other training in the forest. I go twice a week," I said pulling my black pants and my white undershirt on.

"Oh, right. You're going to get caught one of these days you know," he said folding my bed back to good shape.

"I highly doubt it, my parents never leave their quarters. How will they catch me on their arses," I said chuckling with Zachary.

"Speaking of parents, Carolina wants to speak with you once you get home," he said shutting the door and giving me a wave goodbye.

Training in the forest was my only getaway, I just hope my new spouse will let me leave. I met Alexi in the forest a while ago. He's a good friend, even if we barely talk I know he'd listen. He hosts a bunch of kids in the forest for secret training in an abandoned village somewhere in the forest. I keep to myself and wear a mask to cover my face. I can't risk someone knowing me, even if I barely leave the house. I loved the freedom and if I lost it, I'd love nothing else.

I gathered myself and grabbed my bow and arrows from the chest under my bed. I was very careful in these moments, my castle was full of gossipers who would slip the tongue to my parents any chance. Wait, not like that. You know what I mean.

I paced through the empty hallways. The walls were lined in paintings of grey and white and the walls were a light black and faint lights lit the hallways at night. No family photos covered the walls, because we didn't have any. I ducked around corners to avoid the maidens that strutted to their chores, or the guards parading the empty halls. I hid my bow and arrows behind my back as strategically as I could. I had finally made it to the basement, I didn't take a horse because I wasn't allowed to touch them without my trainer. I fled down the stairs until I saw the door to the outside within reach.

"Harold," my sister flew around the corner right in front of the door and caused me to jump back, nearly falling off the stairs.

"Holy, are you trying to cause an accident,"  I said catching my breath.
