I was with Darwin and Alex by the game machine. Everyone had cheered up a little and we were all laughing and having our own conversations.
"I win again Alex," I told him.
"You technically can't win on this game," he defended.
"Except you can if you get it in more times than the person your playing against so...," I trailed off.
"Looks like your a sore loser Alex," Darwin humored, patting his shoulder. The three of us laughed but were interrupted by a distant thud that echoed throughout the whole building.
Everyone's faces merged to one of slight fear where as Darwin and I were concerned, "What was that?" I asked, voicing everyone's thoughts.
"No, no. Something's not right," Darwin said as we headed over to the window where the sound was coming from. He pressed the button to open the curtain which had been previously closed by Hank when some agents were making fun of us. We looked out but nothing was there. The thudding continued as we saw two figures in front of the moon, one looked like a person and the other like the devil.
"What is that?" Alex asked. The devil figure moved his arm and the human one started falling as we heard his screams. The other person teleported leaving wisps of fire in it's place. The guy fell to the ground dead. We all moved back, Raven, Angel and I screaming as our hands flew to our mouths. As the boys looked at the body horrified.
All of a sudden, bodies of CIA agents started dropping everywhere and Raven carried on screaming as the rest of us retreated from the window. Alex shielded me from the window, I could see the fear and worry on his face. I grabbed his bicep to comfort him and assure him I would be okay.
Agents started knocking on the window wearing bulletproof armor and holding guns. "Get back. Stay inside. We're under attack," they shouted through the window. A red man with a tail and long hair, the devil figure from earlier, appeared behind them and we started shouting and pointing at them. They started shooting at him but he disappeared in the same wisps as earlier. He reappeared behind one of the men, moving his gun so it would shoot the glass window and by the time the tiny shards fell all of the men were dead and the man was gone.
As the shooting continued, we all took shelter behind one of the sofas. Alex wrapped his arms, protectively around me and Darwin was shielding us, looking at the destruction in horror. He turned back round and shouted over the never ending gunfire, "Stay here my ass. Lets go." We obliged and ran towards the door still ducking for cover. As we ran down the corridor agents at the end were shouting for us to go back we tried to defend our case saying we can help but it was no use and they just kept on holding us back.
We arrived to another room to see a grey tornado, swallowing everything in it's path. Raven screamed in fear as we backed away from the window. The tornado broke the window and we all screamed, the intruders could now get in. The red man entered after killing whatever was left of the swarm of agents.
We turned as we heard the door open. A man walked in with a victorious smirk on his face. "Good evening. My name's Sebastian Shaw. And I'm not here to hurt you," he said as he walked towards us, "My friends, there's a revolution coming. When mankind discovers who we are, what we can do, each of us will face a choice. Be enslaved or rise up to rule. Choose freely, but know that if you are not with us, then by definition, you are against us. So, you can stay and fight for the people who hate and fear you. Or you can join me, and love like kings and queens," he held out his hand and I watch as Angel looked down at his hand then his face with a questioning look.
Angel, hesitantly, took his hand and started to walk away with him. Everyone started protesting. "Come on. We don't belong here, and that's nothing to be ashamed of," Angle said as she stepped through the window with Shaw.
Darwin turned to Alex and whispered something to him which ended up in the two hitting each other. Darwin started walking towards Shaw. "Stop. I'm coming with you." That was all we could hear before the two started having a conversation.
"Take cover," Alex whispered to me. I smirked, knowing his plan. I nudged the others and subtly gestured to the wall by the window.
"ALEX NOW!" Darwin shouted. We ran quicker and Alex started the rings and shot them towards Shaw and the others. His face fell when we saw that he held the energy in his hands and started to absorb it. He started to turn weird as if another him was forming. Darwin tried to punch him but he turned and blocked it. Shaw grabbed his jaw and sent some of the energy into his mouth. He started to turn to metal as he staggered, then molten rock. The rock cooled down and Alex looked like someone had smacked him in the face as Darwin reached out before exploding.
I went over to Alex and hugged him, knowing he would blame himself for this. We all felt sorry and my heart shattered as I felt my shoulder get wet. Agents came in to escort us outside of the building we followed with Alex and I falling behind. "It's my fault Dotty. I should've saved him," Alex quietly told me.
"No it's not. If you did try, we would've lost two mutants; one of them being my boyfriend," I told him. He gave me a small smile but I could tell it was fake.
A/N Sorry for not updating. School is going to be the reason I'm in a mental hospital in the future.
