humans can be so resilient.
yet we hurt the people we love so easily
with our easy lies and swift mouths,
violent hands striking against soft skin,
devilish eyes raking over innocent bodies.
and it is in our self that we find
this strong desire to score our arms with blood
and inhale smoke into bodies we don't want.
so please understand
sometimes i just want
to rest my eyes and
forget my humanity.
