Percy POV:
I just kept running and running, the trees melted into green and brown blobs.
My tears blurred my surroundings and turned the sun into reaching beams of light. My friends' faces appeared in the shadows, sending jolts of fear and agony through my spine.
A branch snapped next to me and I looked over, I didn't see the tangle of roots in front of me and I tripped.
I tumbled down a hill, twigs and rocks scratching and bruising me on the way down. My arm slammed into a boulder and pain jolted down my forearm and I clenched my jaw.
It felt like Zeus had struck me with one of his lightning bolts. Had I finally angered him enough to strike me or had he wanted to see how much pain I could endure for fun?
I crashed into a pine tree, striking my skull against the rough bark and black spots crept up in my vision.
Tears streamed silently down my face as the world went dark.
I woke up staring right into the yellow eyes of a black bass, reeds bent in the current and smooth pebbles were tossed around gracefully in the big fish's wake.
I put my hands to my throat and gasped for air. I forgot for a moment that I could breathe underwater and struggled to remember how I got here.
The water was about five feet deep so I stood up and looked around. I couldn't comprehend where I was or how I had gotten here.
I was no where near the forest outside of camp. My whole situation came rushing back and I stumbled to the side of the creek I was in.
I laid on my back and stared at the sky.
"What's your problem fish boy?" A girl's voice asked.
"W-who's there?" I stammered, I reached for Riptide in my pocket and pulled the sword out.
I took the cap off and the pen extended.
"Calm down, who do you think got you here son of Posiedon?" She replied cooly.
The mystery girl jumped out of an oak tree next to me. She had olive skin, black hair, and deep brown eyes.
"My name's Crystal Ramirez, you can call me Crys." The girl said, with a smirk.
"Who are you, why did you bring me here, and how did you know I was a son of Posiedon?" I asked, confused.
"Woah, slow down on the questions fish boy." She laughed.
