"We meet again Sergeant Barnes" (Bucky x Fem Oc)

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐎𝐧𝐞: "Alexandria Montgomery"

𝚃𝚑𝚒𝚛𝚍 𝙿𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚘𝚗 𝙿𝙾𝚅:

Alexandria walked into the small café that sat on the corner of the street. When she walked into the café her nose was filled with the smell of hot coffee, freshly made waffles and the sweet smell of maple syrup. Alexandria scanned the small business looking for a certain man she was supposed to meet. The only description she was given was that he wears a black eye patch on his left eye. Sure enough in the back of the café sitting in a booth was an older looking man wearing all black and an eye patch which covered his left eye. Alexandria weaved through the busy tables towards the man in the booth and took the seat opposite of him on the red leather.

"Judging from your reputation Miss Montgomery I wouldn't have expected you to turn up in a bright yellow sundress and a white sun hat" the man stated dryly. Although his comment wasn't at all necessary it was quite accurate. A woman like Alexandria wouldn't be expected to be walking around in a bright yellow sundress with little daisy on it that fell just below her knees and a white sunhat that sat on her long raven hair. While she looked completely normal to the unknowing person, to Director Fury she looked like a mad woman.

"So you must be the one and only Director Fury. I was told you wanted to talk business, start talking or else I'll be on my way" Alexandria stated just as dry leaning over slightly to look Fury in the eyes, well eye.

"Hello to you too, Alexandria Montgomery" Fury slid over a file to Alexandria that had in big bold red letters 'classified'. "This is a file that contains every possible little detail about you. SHIELD has been tracking you for quite some time and have taken interest in you, I have a proposition. Join us."

Alexandria nearly laughed at the man, her joining them sounded ridiculous. Now Fury was starting to look like the insane one out of the two. Out of everyone on the planet he had to choose her to join his band of spies and 'heroes,' if you could even call them that.

"You make me laugh Fury" Alexandria smiled too sweetly at the stern looking man and leaned back against the booth chair. "You really want me to join SHIELD? Do you have idea who you're messing with?"

"Yes, I do Montgomery, and frankly I don't care. You may be one of the most feared women on the planet and we both know I can't kill you, but I don't give a damn" Fury glares at Alexandria whose smile had now faded to a challenging and threatening look. "Besides, you won't be joining SHIELD, not directly anyway. You'll be a part of Earth's mightiest heroes, the Avengers."

Alexandria laughed in Fury's face. Her intoxicating laugh started attracting the attention of the other people who sat in the café. It took her some time before she finally got it back together and could talk to him properly without bursting out into laughter again.

"My god you must be desperate Fury, which will make it even better to tell you my answers no. I don't want to be a part of your boy band" Alexandria got up to leave.

"Montgomery don't be stupid."

"I don't think I'm the one being stupid Director" Alexandria shoots back at the man.

"Listen, do you really want to keep doing the same routine every day? I mean honestly, it's undeniable that your good at what you do but is it worth it? You're going to be on the Earth for a very long time so you might as well do something useful." Alexandria thought hard about Fury's proposal. I mean he's right. Alexandria's going to be here for a very long time so she might as well do something good, but was this that something?

"You got yourself a deal Fury. I'll join your boy band of misfits, but I have one condition" Alexandria starts, sitting down back in the booth with Fury. "The second I decide I'm bored, and I've had enough, I'm going to leave, and you won't stop me. Not SHIELD, not the Avengers or any other super humans you're hiding. Also if I join the team, I'll obviously need to be pardoned for all my crimes, so I won't be arrested while I save the world or whatever it is you people do, got it?"

"It's done Montgomery" Fury shakes Alexandria's hand firmly over the table.

"I'll see you Monday Boss" Alexandria sarcastically salutes her 'captain' and shoves the previous file back into Fury's hands before getting up out of the booth. She walks out of the café leaving the smell of waffles and coffee behind her.
