"We meet again Sergeant Barnes" (Bucky x Fem Oc)

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐲: "I'm here doll, just stay with me"

𝚃𝚑𝚒𝚛𝚍 𝙿𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚘𝚗 𝙿𝙾𝚅

As Alex lied in Bucky's arms, she felt herself slowing slipping away, barley holding onto life.

"I'm here doll, just stay with me" Bucky whispered. The rest of the Avengers stood around them praying Alex would pull through.

Bucky brushed the hair out of her face and shook her lightly whispering and begging for her to keep her eyes open. He cradled her in his arms refusing to let go of her.

"Why isn't she healing? The collars off she should be getting better, why isn't she getting better!" Bucky yelled. Tears dripped down his cheek and his lip quivered. Alex felt pain surge over her, she didn't know what was happening to her. It felt like she was dying but her regeneration powers were trying to kick in again.

"God why do we keep ending up like this?" Alex laughed through the pain as tears fell down her cheek. Bucky smiled down at her and stroked her cheek.

"Doll what are you taking about?"

"Me dying and you holding me in your arms, it gets old quick, doesn't it?" Alex joked trying to lighten the mood. Bucky laughed in denial and held onto her hand as he circled his thumb on the back of it.

"Don't say that you didn't die before and you're not dying now. I won't let you" Bucky stated firmly. The avengers watched the two who started off as enemies and slowly found each other. Tony held Peter tight as he cried silently trying to hide his sadness from Alex so in her final moments, she wouldn't see him cry.

"Bucky please don't give me hope, I'm not healing, not this time" Alex said sadly. Bucky's lip trembled as he tried to speak but couldn't.

"A-Alex, doll, please I can't lose you. I spent all our time hating you and I can't let you go the moment I admit I love you." Bucky was begging and holding onto his love. Alex let out a shuddering breath as she sobbed.

"I-I love you" she sobbed. Alex's eyes slowly closed, and her body went limp, her grasp on Bucky's hand weakening.

"N-no" Bucky choked out. "Alex stop joking around, wake up" Bucky shook her and grasped onto her hand. "Alex please wake up, please" he whispered.

"Bucky..." Natasha said, holding onto Bruce who was wrapped in a blanket, crying.

Wanda knelt beside Bucky and hugged him tightly. Peter escaped Tony and rushed to Alex's side and put his hands on her shoulders and lightly shook her.

"Alex come on wake up. Please wake up, remember all the fun times we had? Remember the first time we met, I fainted because you got stabbed in the hand" Peter said grasping her shoulders. Tears fell from his eyes onto her torn clothing as he tried to laugh through the pain. "O-or when we watched the conjuring as a family, remember? M-me and Pietro pranked you, remember Alex?" Peter stuttered as her sobbed.

Wanda wrapped her arms around Bucky and Peter as they all sat and cried together. The whole team huddled together over their friend. Alexandria lied limp; Bucky shut his eyes tightly crying in silence when suddenly he felt someone grasp his hand.

He opened his eyes to see Alexandria. Her skin gaining some kind of colour and her hand grasping his tightly. His eyes widened in shock as she slowly opened her eyes.

"B-Bucky?" she said weakly. The whole team looked shocked as the girl in Bucky's arms slowly sat up.

"Alex!" Peter cried grasping her in a tight hug. "I thought you died!"

Bucky and everyone else were still in shock. Alexandria let out a small laugh as she hugged the spiderling back and stroked his hair.

"Surprisingly I'm not dead yet Parker" Alex laughed. Peter let go of her and was replaced by a rambling Bucky.

"ALEX! Oh thank God, I thought I was going to lose you. I can't lose you doll; you mean too much to me. Don't ever scare me like that again" Bucky let go of Alex and grabbed her face pulling her into a passionate and gentle kiss.

Tears fell down his face and Alex melted into his kiss as he grasped her cheek and the back of her neck. She pulled away and smiled at the man.

"I love you more than words can describe doll; I would kill for you" Bucky admitted.

"Don't go soft on me now Barnes" Alexandria said with heavy eyes smiling at Bucky "God, we've went from I'll kill you to I'd kill for you"

"Even when you've just come back from the dead, you're a smart ass" Bucky rolled his eyes and kissed her cheek.

"We're so happy your back kid" Tony said with a smile and puffy eyes. "Let's go home."

Everyone had their hug and speech on how much they cared for Alexandria before they left the base. Bucky picked her up bridal style and wrapped a spare blanket around her. He kissed her as they walked out of the base, snow falling down and landing on her nose and hair.

"I love you Bucky Barnes" Alex cooed.

"I love you more Alexandria Montgomery."
