"Again" I drag my blade across the man's stomach and up his side to his neck making him drop to the floor.

"We've been at it for 6 hours Strange! Can't I take a break?" I yell as I strike another opponent. Today is my first training session with Doctor Strange and it has been a nightmare. By 'controlling my powers' he really meant to not use them. Apparently, I 'let the power of immortality get to my head' and I need to learn to fight as if I was just another mortal. I think this is ridiculous because I'm not another mortal!

"Alexandria fight like your life depends on it! How many times do I have to tell you, you need to control yourself otherwise you'll go down a dark path no one can save you from" I pull the gun from my holster and shoot a woman who was running at me between the eyes. "What if one day you don't have your powers and your left defenceless? What then?"

"First of all, how can I fight like my life depends on it when it doesn't! And second I will always have my powers!" I kill another opponent before tossing my gun to the ground in anger. Strange releases me from the mirror dimension and I stand in the middle of the Sanctum out of breath.

"Your done for today but I except you back tomorrow" Strange turns away irritated and begins towards the giant staircase.

"Fine but this is stupid. These ridiculous training session and the stupid therapy sessions..." Strange stops in his tracks and turns to face me.

"Alex if you don't want me to take you to a place I'm sure you don't want to go, you need to be better. Become less hostile and less... dangerous. If you just let me help you I promise-"

"No. Don't finish that sentence about whatever your going to promise. Number one thing I hate, people who make promises they can't keep."

"Alex just let me help you, I've seen your future".

"Yeah whatever. I'm sure whatever path I take my future won't be good".

"You don't know that".

"Oh yes I do, things have been pretty shit this far I doubt it's going to change".

"Goodbye Alex" Strange turns away from me coldly.

"Wait a minute! I'm not done talking to y-"Strange waves his hand and a portal engulfs me. I stumbled and look around to see I've appeared back in the Avengers tower. I stood in the middle of the living room where the rest of the team (except Tony, Steve, and Barnes) sat. "Fucking dick..."

"Hey! There's a kid here!" Clint yelled hugging Peter tightly.

"Sorry Peter..." I huff and sit on the couch and lean on Wanda's shoulder. "I hate Strange. I hate Parson."

"They're trying to help you Alex, it's for the best" Sam says trying to cheer me up.

"Oh please Sam there's people in this tower who need more help than me. Practically everyone here has a dark past, trauma, and is an orphan. We should all be going to therapy" Natasha nods her head in agreement.

"She's not wrong."

"Shush Nat she still needs to go to therapy" I roll my eyes and watch the tv with the rest of the team. Sadly not even Brooklyn 99 could help me get my mind off things. A couple minutes go by and I hear footsteps come from down the hallway. I look up to see a shirtless Barnes and Steve. Both sweaty and out of breath. I look them up and down but quickly snap out of it.

"How was training?" I ask while playing with Wanda's hair.

"Bucky kicked my ass" I smirk at the captain.

"Language Steve" Pietro laughs from beside me and puts his arm around me and Wanda.

"Ha, ha, very funny Alexandria" I looked away from Steve and my eyes wondered to Bucky who was talking to Thor about something. His body looked so shiny, and his hair was pulled back. Bucky looked my way and we made brief eye contact and he raised his eyebrow questioningly "How was training Alex?" Steve snapped my attention away from the soldier.

"Horrible! Strange is a dick..."

"Again there's a child here!" Clint yelled again cupping Peter's face.

"Yeah, yeah. Anyway he keeps going on about how I'm going to go down a dark path or something. Honestly, it's stupid! I'm fine! I'm totally normal, I'm stable, I'm....I'm" my voice trailed off and I just stared at the wall. I could feel the team's eyes on me as I stared off. I could hear someone talking but it all just sounded like a blur.

"Alex?" I finally snap out of my trance and see Bucky's hand on my shoulder and a somewhat worried look on his face.

"Yeah, yeah. Anyway he keeps going on about how I'm going to go down a dark path or something. Honestly, it's stupid! I'm fine! I'm totally normal, I'm stable, I'm....I'm" Alexandria trailed off and just stared blankly at the wall. I look to Steve worried.

"Alex are you okay" Wanda says, and Pietro lightly shakes her. I take a few steps towards Alex.

"Alex?" I call out to her, she doesn't move. I hesitate before putting my hand gentling on her shoulder and shaking her slightly, "Alex?"

Alex looks up at me like she had just snapped out of a trance. She looked down at my hand and shrugged it off and moved away from Pietro and Wanda quickly.

"Why are you all looking at me like that?" Alex asked looking around the room acting as if nothing happened.

"Lady Alex are you okay?" Thor asks.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" she acted like everything was fine and she hadn't just dazed off into a daydream if you could call it that.

I looked at the team confused, what were they talking about? I had just trailed off; doesn't everyone do that? Suddenly Tony came running into the room.

"Everyone suit up! We have a mission" Tony said as he came into the room with Bruce.

Sorry I felt like this chapter was so bad. Haven't had the best day but it's okay :) Hope you all have wonderful days and I should be posting the next chapter right after this one! <3
