"Run!" I screamed, taking the lead and racing away.
The others fell into step behind me, the roar of the dragon echoing in the chamber as we ducked between pillars and looping the room. The dragon didn't care though, smashing against them in a chance to take a chomp of us.
Who keeps a dragon? (Name) muttered in confusion.
People who clearly brand themself as knights! I shot back.
Our group kept running, but at the sight of the Forever Knights streaming from the doors that had been closed previously, we stumbled to a halt. Their weapons, both sword and guns, were raised.
"Nobody move! Hands on your head!" The Forever Knight with the sword shouted.
"Make me!" Kevin shouted back. He darted forward, touching one of the pillars and absorbing the stone onto himself, or at least his arms. Then he took a few steps, getting down and grabbing the ground. With a groan of effort, he peeled the ground up then slammed it back down.
A shockwave shot out, knocking over the Forever Knights in one fell swoop. But the victory was short lived as more came out of the shadows, beginning to fire their guns.
"Gwen!" I shouted, letting my powers come to the surface. Just a thought and a shield was forming in front of our group.
"Right!" Gwen stepped up, summoning forth her own shield of purple magic.
The Deputy Plumber began to fire out from behind the shields, taking down some of the Forever Knights but not all. A crash from behind, and an angry roar, reminded us that there was another threat from behind.
"Ben!" I cried.
"Got it!" he called back, charging off while activating the watch. A flash of green and his voice dipping into techno, he started to call out echo and it duplicated as it got louder.
I groaned. Not another Ditto.
As a loud crash sounded from behind, dust was kicked up, a natural shield for the rest of us to get take down the Forever Knights.
I lowered my shield.
Gwen did too, nodding to Kevin and the deputy. Kevin took the lead, charging for the nearest Forever Knights to smash against each other. Gwen took out some from a distance, and I followed along, taking aim with a finger and firing off blasts of white light. The Plumber was even firing off. It wouldn't take long to defeat them all
"Don't do it! It's busted!" The Plumber shouted.
I turned just in time to see a Forever Knight try to fire off a sparking gun. Instead of going out, it imploded, a orb of red spreading and the Forever Knight at the center as it grew.
"Hit the deck!" The Plumber shouted, tackling Kevin to the ground.
I raised up my hands, galaxies sparkling along my arms as I commanded forth a dome. Sparkling stars shot across my vision as it took form, just in time too as a bright light and screaming whirl took over my vision and ears.
When it died down, there was a giant hole in the floor where the Forever Knight had been.
"That's why level-five technology is illegal on Earth." The Plumber spat. "Humans aren't ready for it."
"I owe you one." Kevin answered as they both rose to a stand.
"Yeah, you do."
"Yeah, and more are coming so more fighting." I shouted, lowering the shield by absorbing it. Then with a swipe of my hand I let loose a cutting cress of the power, it bowled over a row of incoming knights.
