Ben groaned, throwing his head against my shoulder in the backseat of Kevin's car. "Can't this thing go any faster?" He whined, digging his cheek into my collar bone.
I could feel the blood rushing to my head, and to avoid anymore and my head exploding from the sudden pressure, I reached up and pushed him off. "Cut it out, baby." I huffed.
Ben only groaned again, going and leaning his head against the opposite window I was leaning against. The moonlight and stars glimmering just beyond as it got later in the evening.
"Yes." Kevin chimed up from behind the wheel. At the same time we passed a sign that said the speed limit was twenty-five.
Ben saw it, glaring at the back of Kevin's head. "We're still going the same speed."
Glancing at him through the rearview mirror, Kevin smirked. "Yes. It's called the speed limit. Fastest we're going tonight."
"But you said-" Ben began only to be cut off.
"I said could, not would."
I held in a laugh, snickering into my hand as Ben shot a glare my way. He fled back into the seat, huffing.
"My mom is going to kill me if I'm late getting home again."
"Wait, if that's the issue, just let me talk to her." I sat up. "Your mom loves me and my mom." I smirked when Ben refused to look my way, groaning.
"And then let them talk the entire night. No thanks."
I shrugged, leaning back against the window.
"Huh." Kevin mocked, pointing in the mirror to Ben. "If she grounds you, it'll be just me and Gwen. Tough break. I think you shoulder take (Y/n) up on that offer, 'cause either way..." He trailed off as Gwen rolled her eyes.
"You think I'd go with you if Ben and (Y/n) weren't here?" She spat.
Kevin smirked, tossing his head a little. "Yeah. I got roguish charm."
Gwen snorted. I joined in when a beeping began to fill the car, leaning against the back of Gwen seat to mockingly ask, "So, who's on the other end because of your roguish charm?"
"I would also like to know who's calling Mr. Roguish Charm." Gwen chimed in.
"I don't have a cell." Kevin said, sounding way to serious for the situation.
I frowned. I shot a look to Ben, who gave a roll of his eyes, mouthing, "He's lying." But something told me he wasn't in this one case. So, I shook my head, watching as Gwen continued to laugh and reach for whatever was beeping.
I miss the way Ben frowned, starting to stare as well at Kevin in growing suspicion.
Gwen reached into his pocket, pulling out a Plumber badge instead of a phone. It continued to beep as she drew back in shock, holding it out in surprise. "Hey. That's your Plumber's badge. What's it doing?"
"Don't know. New to me." Kevin replied, focusing back on the road.
Gwen gasped, and I leaned over to see that the badge was now projecting a map with a grid over top. And in the center was two blinking dots, one red and the other white. Ben leaned over too, peaking at the map with a curious tilt of his head.
"Whoa. It's some kind of map." Ben mumbled.
"I think we're the red dot." I pointed out as it moved but the white one didn't.
I felt more than saw as Ben nodded against my shoulder. "I bet it's a GPS for badges."
"So, why is one of them flashing?" Kevin asked, taking a glance at the map before back to the road.
