Dust winced and coughed as he his the floor. We ran past him as he gasped for air. I grab Horrors axe and let the others run past me. I turn to look a Dust and Horror. They both looked at me, Dust with anger, but Horror had a face I couldn't read. I shook it off and tossed Horrors axe towards them, then ran to catch up with the others. "What was that?" Denim asked me. "Let's just keep moving..." I reply.
The snap of a whip was heard up ahead. I winced and stopped everyone. They all look at me with worry. "That's Blackberry, he's very smart. We should be careful." They all nodded, we continued to run. We didn't run into Blackberry right away. I was still on edge though. Dust appeared in front of us and we all stopped. Me and Denim walked to the front of the group. "Chimera, have your smoke ready." I whisper to them.
They nod and wait for my signal. Nightmare and Horror appeared behind the group. Nightmare was still a little tired and dizzy. I clench my teeth and glare at them. Until I felt a whip hit my back. I let out a yelp and turn to see Blackberry. We were surrounded. 'Seriously?' I thought with a groan. Blackberry smirked and stretched his wip. "Miss me~" He cooed. I cringed when seeing him. "You are really getting on my nerves Y/n." Nightmare growled and began to walk towards us, a sway to the side with each step.
"Why can't you be a good little birdie, and stay in your cage!" He thrusted his arm forward, Horror's eye glowed red and he lunged at us. I growl and cover the others with my wings again. "These fights are seriously getting old..." Horror dodged off the wall to pass my wings. My eyes widened as he was heading for Chimera. Before he could reach them, Mia used her trunk to wrap around his leg. She flung him into Blackberry and Dust. I snorted before being pushed into the wall by one of Nightmares tendrils.
I cough and gasp for air. Denim used a feather to cut another tendril before it could hit any one else. I regained my breath and slowly stood back up. My back was against the wall, I turned to look at Nightmare. The smoke Chimera produced had definitely worn off by now. Dust, Horror, and Blackberry finally got up after being knocked down like bowling pins. BlackBerry used his wip to grap a hold of Mia's trunk. She gasped in pain and tried to tug her trunk out. The wip just went deeper into her skin. Denim ran past the others and cut the wip. Then pointing his feather at Blackberry.
An idea popped into my head, I plucked another one of Denim's feathers and motioned the others to do the same. Most of his feathers grew back. "Oh. I guess my feathers are limited." He joked. I nod and then we all stand in two separate lines. Denim with Mia and Roti. Me with Chimera and Jabari. My line faced Nightmare, Denim's line faced Horror, Dust, and Blackberry. We I leaped forward and went to slash at Nightmare. While Denim, Mia, and Roti charged at Blackberry, Dust, and Horror.
Nightmare smiled while I was falling down to hit him. Error appeared in front of him before I could land a hit. He lifted up a black bone and used it to block my sword feather. He uses his bone to push me back, then he swipes his bone to point at the ground. From behind Error, nightmare used his tendrils to rush at the three of us. We all began to slice at every tendril he send our way. Chimera dodged one and cut up it's side while running at Error. They used their height to their advantage and tripped Error. He glitched as he hit the ground.
Chimera went to slice at him, but he blocked with his bone again. I turned to check on Denim and his line real quick. BlackBerry was going to wrap his wip around Roti. However, Roti caught the wip and pulled Blackberry closer to him. BlackBerry lost grip of his wip and growled. Roti threw it to the side and tackled BlackBerry. One of Denims feathers were cut by Dust's knife. Denim scoffed and used his feather sword to cut one of Dust's sleeves. Chimera was suddenly thrown into me. I caught them and landed on my but. "Damn that hurt." I winced while rubbing my behind. I put Chimera down and looked to Nightmare and Error.
Jabari was still cutting at Nightmare's tendrils. I then saw Error running at Jabari with his strings ready. "Oh no you don't." I whisper and jumped into action. I left my sword with Chimera and ran at Error from his blind spot. I sliced his strings and ended up pinning him against the wall. His eyes went wide and I smirked. I then use my elbow to knock him out. He feel to the ground unconscious. I then turn to see Nightmare had managed to grab Jabari and Chimera with his tendrils.
Jabari used his claws to scratch at the tendril that was holding him. But his claws weren't long enough. Chimera began to nervously release their smoke. I quickly ripped a peace of cloth from my sleeve and used it to cover my mouth. I ran and picked up the sword below Chimera. I had to jump up Nightmare's tendrils to cut the one Chimera was trapped in. They stopped releasing the smoke. I signed in relief and pocketed the cloth. Jabari had managed to get out of Nightmare's tendril. Surprisingly, no more tendrils were coming.
I turned to look at Nightmare. My eyes widened as I saw he fused his tendrils together to make a giant one. He then began to run at us. I got ready to cut his huge tendril, but he ran past me. I look back to see that Horror, Dust, and Blackberry were trapped together in BlackBerry's wip. All of them were unconscious. "Look out!" I shout to Denim and the others and Nightmare rushes toward them. I flap my injured wings then wince.
So I try to run to them instead. "SURF'S UP BRAH!" Fresh's voice echoed. A portal opened above Nightmare and Fresh landed on Nightmare's giant tendril. Fresh began to 'surf' the tendril Nightmare looked at the portal confused, then and arrow flew out aiming for Nightmare's head. Nightmare dodged and hit his tendril against the wall. Fresh flew of and landed next to me. "Pretty cool right dudette?" He nudged me with his elbow as dream came out of the portal and began to fight Nightmare.
I faced palmed in an annoyed way. "We could've handled It ourselves." I chuckled. His glasses change to 'oh'. "I'm still glad you guys came though." I smiled. Fresh blushed and turned away. "Get the ones that are passed out, I'll get me and my friends to the portal." I wink and run towards my friends.
Fresh POV
'Her leader side is sooo cool' Fresh thought as he watched you run to help your friends. His blush grew, but he went to get Error and put him with Horror, Dust, and Blackberry.
Y/n POV
"Come on guys, we have to get to the portal!" I shout out to them. They all look at me then to the portal. When they look back at me they all nod. Nightmare also heard me and separated his tendrils. "You're not getting away again!" His voice boomed through the hall. He grabbed me with a tendril and began to squeeze me. An arrow flew and cut the tendril holding me. Dropping me back to the ground. "Don't forget about me brother!" Dream shouted at Nightmare.
I took this chance to catch up with the others. "Y/n, how are we supposed to get up there?" Chimera asked worried. Fresh came over and looked up at the portal. "Dream didn't think of that..." He said. I smile and look down at Chimera. "Simple, me and you carry them up!" I exclaim in a determined way. "Aren't your wings injured?" Denim asked. They all look at me with worry. "It's fine! I can handle it." I say. They were all skeptical but knew they couldn't change my mind.
"Chimera, you get Jabari and Denim. I'll get Roti and Mia." Chimera nods and picks up Jabari. I picked up Roti and flew up to the portal. Ignoring the stinging pain in my wings. Me and Chimera threw Jabari and Roti in at the same time. We waited until we got a thumbs up from both of them. I then went down and picked up Mia. Then threw he into the portal aswell. Chimera throwing in Denim a little bit afterwards.
"See you on the other side Fresh!" I did a peace sign and looked to Dream and Nightmare fighting. Dream looked at me and nodded. Me and Chimera flew through the portal into the doodle sphere. The portal then closed behind us and we were now safe.
Wow! That was a long chapter! But I'm glad that it's a long one ^^ I'm hoping the next chapter will be the last one. If it is it will have final in the title. If you guys want a second book it will be about how all of their lives are after this book, and what Gaster does to Nightmare and his team. (Slight spoilers)
