Chapter 12 - Contest

Noon

We are all sitting in a booth in a cafe not too far from either of our apartments. I was next to Jerome and across from Jane, next to her was Mitch. Me and Jerome were sitting next to eachother, holding hands underneath the table. We haven't told them yet but I can tell they suspect something between us, we were planning on telling them today.

I sip my Pepsi and clear my throat, Jane stops giggling at something Mitch told her and looks at me. I stir my drink with my straw "What were you guys so eagar to tell us?" I ask. She frowns slightly and sips her soda, Mitch speaks for her "We wanted to move into an apartment together". Jerome nearly chokes on his drink when he says that and looks at Mitch like 'Bruh'.

I pat his back and say "Where will we live?" Jane looks guiltily at her drink "We hoped you woulden't mind either getting your own apartments our sharing one of our current ones" I smile at Jerome and he nods hopefuly understanding what I'm trying to say 'perfect timing, we can tell them now' . He breathes in and speaks up "We'll move into our own one bedroom apartment"

They look at us confused untill a look of realization goes over her face. "Mitch you owe me 20 bucks" his eyes widen and he says "Wha since when?" Jerome laughs and says "Since the day Bri left" i smile at Jane "You knew" i say. She nods laughing "We were talking about you two and I bet Mitch that you two were dating" she says. I roll my eyes " And you agreed, we were being prety obvious." i say to Mitch.

He shrugs "I'm oblivious to most things" i roll my eyes. After we eat we head back to my apartment and Jane hands me ssome information. I look at them and Jerome comes behind me and reads over my shoulder. "You had this all planned out, didn't you" i ask laughing, the papers fere information on two one bedroom apartments, and a two bedroom apartment. She nods "I thought that if you were mad I would save you the hastle of finding an apartment, I nod.

We sit on the couch and me and Jerome argue over which apartment to get, I wanted the one closer to Mitch and Jane's apartment but he wanted the one with the office space. "Fine, we'll get the one with the office" I say, giving up. Jerome smiles and grabs me by the waist and kisses my cheek "Yay" he says.

I fake pout and frown, turning my head away from Jerome. He whines "I'm sorry but I need a good place to record, please forgive me" I roll my eyes and he pulls me closer to me and I start laughing. Mitch and Jane walk in an look at us funny "I still haven't seen MockingJay part one, you guys wanna come with us?" Jane says and I jump up only to fall back down on Jerome's lap "sure, I haven't seen it either" Mitch shakes his head "poor poor girls, you've been deprived" I roll my eyes.

I walk into my room and change out of my band tee and into a tank top that says "BRUH" on it. We head to the theater and I end up sitting between Mitch and Jerome. I put up the shoulder rest between us and cuddle up to Jerome. The movie starts and Jerome wraps his arm around my shoulders.
